Building a Specially Designed Aircraft
Building this German Designed Dive bomber was challenging because of design features not found on other WWII aircraft. These features allowed the Stuka to dive almost vertically to low altitude and pull out safely while being deadly on target.

Take your time!
This is a magnificent kit. The first one I built in sixth grade. The second when in my thirties. You need to buy some scrap balsa to replace some of the plastic parts (wheel pants) with carved balsa, and a scale propeller. And some small wooden dowels like on Q tips. Tiny hair clips are helpful to act as aids to hold parts being glued. The balsa parts are not laser cut. The model comes out museum quality if you take your time !

Old Favorite
I built many many Guillows balsa rubber powered model airplanes when I was a kid some 50 or 60 years ago. Been into RC lately but decided to go back a ways. Spied this dude and it used to be one of my favorites so decided to get it. In the process of construction now and enjoying it. Thank you.

Experienced builders only
Great model with lots of detail but it has the same problems that anything that is not laser cut has. Some of the sheet balsa sheet was of soso quality and it looks like the dies to press the sheets need to be sharpened or whatever they do to them so the pieces come out cleaner. The stringers are all 1/16" square which made for a very fragile wing once it is assembled. 3/32' or even 1/8" would have been better and made for a stronger model. I have built Guillows B24 and DC3 and I would put this in the same category as far as difficulty goes. I really Guillows would move into the 21st century and start laser cutting all their kits.

second try
This may or maybe my 2nd try with this kit. First round was a good learning experience. thank you . Update on biuld "doing ok" . Not all parts laser cut . I copied the blue print to a sticker paper. To cut replacement. The transparent paper is ok , but the plane white I think is good.
