Used this to replace a dead battery in one of my dashcams. Unit is back in service and working fine. It is also the correct size and capacity for many handheld devices.

Vantrue N2 Pro perfect battery replacement.
The battery is a perfect replacement for the original battery rated at 280mah on the Vantrue N2 Pro camera and hopefully this one will last another 3 to 4 years. Just remember to use a small flat head screw driver to carefully remove the adhesive tape from the battery to the speaker. My speaker stayed in place and since I didn’t solder on the PCB, I didn’t need to remove the screen or the side camera ribbon cables. I only removed the 13 screws (Six screws outside, 4 screws on the top PCB, and three screws on the button PCB), top cover, and the battery. Taking it apart was easy but it was a hassle to work with the small wires you need to twist before you solder. Fortunately there is a heat shrinkable insulation shield included to make the job easier. Just cut the wires as close to the old battery and cut close to the JST PH 2 pin connector on the new battery. Cut the shrinkable insulation shield a little longer than a half inch and slide into each end of the battery wires. Strip each wire end a little longer than a 1/4 inch of insulation (The longer the easier to tie together) and the hardest part is using tweezers to twist the exposed wires together. Soldering is simple since it’s just to hold the wires in place and slide the shrinkable insulation in place after soldering each wire. I was lazy and just used my soldering iron when unplugged and cooling a bit to shrink the insulation. The only thing I suggest to make this a perfect kit is to add a female JST Phase 2 pin connector so we don’t need to solder and have a handy connector for the next time we need to replace the battery. I believe there is a space close the the camera lens that could hold the bulge of a female JST PH 2 pin connector but can not guarantee it until I try it in the future. The newer Vantrue Cameras (X4s) use a super capacitor to avoid the hassle of soldering a new battery every three to four years. Super capacitors can last from 10 to 20 years and avoids this reoccurring issue.

Perfect for what I needed ...
The batteries were needed for a "hand gesture" controller for an RC car. Because of how the original batteries were installed, I had to clip the white connector on the new batteries and solder the wires to the board. Charged fairly quickly and working as desired.

Solid Battery, Polarity in Connector didn’t Line Up
I used this to replace the worn & destroyed battery in my Vantrue N2 Pro. It was a modest upgrade in terms of mAh (this battery is 310mAh, the stock one was 250mAh). The battery works great and fits, but after soldering in a pigtail on the dash cam to make future replacement easy I realized the polarity in the connector on the battery did not line up. So I had to cut the battery’s pigtail off and resolder it to line up positive to positive and negative to negative. See pictures. The product picture shows it accurately so just make sure you double check if you’re planning to use a connector. All of the pigtails I found on AMZN had the red & black switched relative to the connector on this battery. The correct size connector to match the one on this battery is 2-pin JST 1.25mm.

Good Replacement for Vantrue N2 Pro Battery
My Vantrue N2 Pro DashCam wouldn’t hold the date/time anymore and always showed that the battery needed charging.Original battery was approx. 30mm x 20mm x 5mm and 280mah and was swollen as all 3.7v lithium "bag" batteries seem to do with age. Other batts the same size spec’d as 250mah. This was the only batt I could find that stated 310mah and also mentioned overcharge and overcurrent protection. I also looked at some slightly bigger batteries but after disassembling the DashCam they looked too big for the space.Construction looks better than some of the cheaper 250mah ones on Amazon and as delivered measured 3.95v (specs say max is 4.10v).I cut off the old battery leads close to the battery as I was not going to unsolder and resolder at the card itself. I also cut off the new battery connector leaving as much wire as possible. I stripped both old and new lead ends about 1/8”, cut and slid on about 1/2" of the INCLUDED heat shrink tubing, laid the leads side by side and soldered together. I tested the connection after cooling, slid the heat shrink tubing over the soldered area and heated with the side of my soldering iron to shrink. I put the DashCam back together and tested operation then charged for several hours. So far it is holding all settings when not connected to power and only time will tell how long this battery lasts which is why I only gave it 4 stars for now.

Fit Vantrue N2, N2 Pro and Toguard CE55 dashcams.
Used in Vantrue N2 and Vantrue N2 Pro dashcams for battery replacements. Dashcams stopped saving the programmed dates on shutdown, amongst other battery related issues. The OEM batteries had died and swollen to double their original thickness. This battery fixed the problems. YouTube videos helped in battery replacements. The N2 and N2 Pro have a different internal circuit board arrangement so choose your video correctly. The N2 Pro has more screws on the circuit boards to remove. This battery model also fit a Toguard model CE55 I have. This sure beats tossing out a dashcam whose battery dies in two or so years and manufacturer says no user replaceable battery.
