I bought this to use as a weed killer on the gravel in front of the house, and it works really well. It effectively keeps the weeds down, though it does need reapplying occasionally. I love that it’s a natural option without harmful chemicals, making it a safer alternative to traditional weed killers. Much more cost-effective too, and it does the job!

I use this rock salt to get rid of weeds on my driveway, and in the gravel area of my back garden. Sprinkle it generously on weeds and moisten with water - works a treat and keeps weeds away. I use twice a year to keep the weeds at bay. We have children and a cat - so a much better alternative to toxic pesticides!

Really useful to have to hand whenever it's needed. It has worked when I've used it and I'm glad I have it readily available when the weather changes. I have not had severe icy weather so I it has not been tested in very tough conditions so I can't say how effective it would be in that. It can be a bit messy and make sure you've a decent mat to clean your shoes before entering the house. Feels more sandy than salty but worked ok in mildly icy temperatures. I will keep a supply ready for use.

This is a large bag of rock salt - great for dispersing ice and snow, but also weeds.The ancient Romans made a habit of 'sowing with salt' the agricultural areas of people they really didn't like, for example the Carthaginians of Hannibal and the elephants fame. This made it impossible to grow crops for generations. The same pretty much applies to the weeds that grow between paving slabs. Jam enough salt into the cracks and weeds don't grow - very simple. And while not being a permanent solution since the salt will eventually get diluted and wash away with the rain, it's a practical option that doesn't involve wrecking the environment with glycophosphates.Highly recommended!

The product works well, however it wasn't 25kg received only 10kg. The product comes in a clear bag, not the one shown in the image which states its weight

I tried this as opposed to Round-up as the latter is toxic. I have found that the salt is really effective, very easy to apply. Just left for rain and weathering to make it dissolve.
