Quality bit
Well worth the money. A very well machined quality tool. Used it for a number of different jobs and it has performed faultlessly. Always remember to have the drill on the slowest speed setting as you step up from the initial pilot hole.

Fantastic drill bit.
Twenty four holes in 5mm mild steel to a diameter of 26mm and still going strong.Given how quickly my (more expensive) Cobalt 25mm drill went dull, even when pre-drilled to 10mm, I am blown away by this step drill.Full marks.Bear in mind that each step is 4mm ish, so drilling 5mm steel results in a slight chamfer. This suited my needs, but worth remembering.

This is a good step drill bit
I bought this bit after destroying three brand new decent quality step drill bits. Now it probably was due to the fact I was drilling through 5mm plate steel and the middle of a weld. So I was probably pushing the limits out of the bits in the first place, and I lost my patience and went full send with an industrial builders drill, lol. I got this bit which while this one cost as much as the fill set of 5 I got before this one. The quality is very good and I could tell it is well made and the design is better then the others I have. I used this to continue to drill out the hole in the steel the other bits burnt up trying to get threw. I did take more care the keep the speed down on the drill. This bit was able to cut the hole out to the point I needed to complete my project. It did get quiet warm but not nearly as how at the other bits that burnt up. I will be using this for other projects and I would recommend this to anyone else who needs a step drill bit. There are times with tools you do get what you pay for. I hope this helps you to decide if this bit is good for you.

It was okay till yesterday
I was using it since half a year and it has no problem. I ues it with caution and slow drill speeds but yesterday the accident just happened... the tip caught the metal so hard, that it broke off. Now I only can use from the "6th" size (After a 4-5th drilled hole with another bit). So.... mweh... yeah... I hoped it will be a bit more sturdy, but. Tools are tools.

works well
I bought this for the job of drilling a hole into a metal mail box to fit a lock. The drill bit worked well and as it is designed to drill holes of different sizes, is a good addition to your tool box. Note that you will need a to have a standard metal drill bit to make a pilot hole, to ensure the hole you require is in the exact measured location.

Disappointed
I brought this because I couldn’t drill through a steel. It would not do the job.I was putting a curtain rail up across a door way Very disappointing.

Works well.
You'll want to drill a pilot hole for accuracy but this bit works well. I've used it to drill accurate diameter holes through PVC and Aluminum with no issues.

This is a very good bit
I am a Journeyman sheet metal worker (retired). I had my tools stolen and I needed a uni-bit for stainless. Good thing: it starts itself. That first penetration takes a bit of time ( keep the oil up!) but once it does it really rips. Be careful that once the hole is started slow the speed and lighten up on the pressure, Otherwise this will bite hard and possibly warp your work (and hurt your wrist) depending on thickness. I was drilling a 18 ga. backsplash. I got a few minor distortions because this bit bit hard. The trim piece for my faucet covered them. I have had other cobalt bits before but this is the best.

Ottimo direi
