Rite in the RainWeatherproof Orange Metal Retractable Ballpoint Pen - Black Ink (No. OR97)

- Seemed like a good pen, but the cap is moving when one writes, making it hard to write properly: it's harder to read as a result. This is annoying and even a problem when you want to write in the small notebooks.- The cap is a simple spring cap, which means it very easily activates when the pen is carried around: definitely a problem for my gore-tex orange jacket.- The spring inside moves with the pen, making noise, probably not a problem for most.

A bit pricey but works. Its heritage seems to be Fisher Space Pen which write under water etc so combined with the Rite in the Rain paper it works nicely.

Great pen for outdoor use. Having lost many pens over the years, this one is so easy to see on the ground. Just a bit costly.

I bought a zebra pen for $12-$13 CDN that comes with 2 extra refills. The zebra pen does everything this pen does (pressurized so it writes upside down and good to -30 without freezing)but didn’t cost anywhere near as much and had the extra refills. These are nice pens but average build quality. Not what I would call high end but they are ok.

The pen arrived as advertised. As a writing implement, it is fantastic and I own several versions of the Rite in the Rain pens.The orange paint is cheaply/poorly applied, as if someone spray painted over top of a pen of another colour. I was expecting a higher quality of materials for the exterior of the pen.The internal components are what you are paying for here.Rite in the Rain is a terrific company to deal and their products are typically of high quality.
