AWESOME
Worth every penny. Such a sleek look. Picks up all the radio channels I've tried and the speaker is LOUD. Very impressed

Pretty impressive.
I must say, I’ve been constantly impressed with this little device. The sound quality is better than I expected. It’s not Bose audio quality, but it definitely packs a punch - sound isn’t distorted or weirdly high level trebles or anything like that - just pretty solid. The radio reception is really good, and I’m most impressed with the multiple power sources: plugged in, rechargeable internal battery, or via purchased batteries. The rechargeable battery seems to hold a long charge as well. Re: aesthetics: it looks great and a nice novelty to add to your office or home. Would definitely recommend.

Great speaker/radio with a vintage look
I bought this speaker after losing power for a couple of days after an earthquake in the winter. I had no way to charge my previous blue tooth speaker and had wished I had another way to listen to the radio other than in my car. With the ability to recharge in addition to having batteries for when recharging is unavailable, this speaker/radio was exactly what I was looking for. The sound quality is nice for a portable speaker this size, and it’s easy to operate. I wish there was a way to store the extra cords/cables in or on the radio itself, but other than that this is absolutely perfect.

Looky Looky...Vintage Gone Techie!
My cousin purchased a radio that played cassettes. Her radio was shaped and designed like a vintage jukebox and I loved it. I love to download music from Amazon and then put it on flashdrive and play through USB port in car because my car is newer model without CD player. This allows me to have my music all the time without any commercials. Several years ago I purchased a Victrola 4-n-1 (also from Amazon) that would allow me to transfer music from vinyl records, CDs and cassettes to USB. This made it possible for me to enhance my music library by getting older music from LPs, cassettes and CDs to the USB and then I could plug the USB into my personal laptop or office laptop and create my personal playlists. All is well and good! I have over 2,000 songs (over 500 CDs, cassettes, and LPs) in one location for my listening pleasure. One catch...I host a lot of family game nights and to tune in (no pun intended) to the games, I never turn the TV on. Instead, I choose a playlist from my Windows Media Player and have music playing off my laptop. Well, that works well when it's just 2 people sitting at the table and I can place laptop at the other end, but when you are playing games with 3 and 4 people, well, there just doesn't seem to be enough room for people, beverages, gameboards AND a laptop. So, I remembered my cousin buying the vintage radio. I did a search for vintage radio with USB port because I knew I wanted to be able to play music off my flashdrive and I found this beauty.I ordered and it was delivered 2 days later. It was packaged really well, no concerns about contents being damaged because the radio box was packed well and then it was placed inside a well-packed Amazon box. I took a picture of box because I liked the comment that was at the top of the box. Pronus was the No. 1 Radio sales brand on Amazon worldwide in 2021. Never heard of the brand, but it's obviously a good one!The radio is adorably cute. I love that it has the Royal Crest with MP3 logo on it. Yes, little things amaze me!Okay, so inside the box: The radio, of course, 3 power supply cords (AC for electric, USB which will allow you to plug into computer, car or other device/outlet that has USB port, and Auxiliary cord, which allows me to plug & play my MP3 or iPod) and owner's manual. The antenna is securely attached but releases with no hassle. I didn't know the radio was preloaded with batteries, but when I unplugged, I continued to see the blue LED backlight for several hours and then realized it was because I didn't turn it off.Pros:1. It looks vintage and is small enough to be portable and will be perfect little addition to our family game nights. Now I can remove laptop from table and this little beauty fits in a nice little corner away from food prep on kitchen counter.2. Several options for how you play it. I prefer plugging into electrical outlet.3. It's labeled well enough that you probably don' even need to look at the owner's manual to see what is what, but if you aren't sure of what feature you have chosen, a lady's voice tells you the feature as you select different options on the Mode button.4. The sound quality is really good ONCE you get your volume set to desired level (that's an issue in and of itself).5. Took this cute little beauty to a friend's house for a game day marathon (10 hours of card/boarrd games) and this didn't disappoint. Good thing is that the USB does NOT start over every time you turn on the radio or even when you remove flashdrive and insert it again. So, when you have over 2,000 songs/50 hours of music on flashdrive, you aren't listening to the same music over and over. It "seems" to pick up from where it last played. I like that because if the unit were to start over each time WITHOUT shuffle option, you would be listening to the same music all the time UNLESS you let unit play on its own for 24 hours or more.Cons and why the 4 stars:1. The volume control knob is VERY sensitive and difficult to control. I hear 3 levels below normal, so I listen to TV and music at a lower volume than most. Well, the volume knob basically mutes and blasts. It seems that is its 2 main options. I had to very carefully tap the knob to get a really loud volume turned down and the slightest turn would mute it. I finally got it to a nice volume for me but unfortunately, I couldn't save the volume level because...2. The volume control knob is also your power knob. That's why my radio stayed on for several hours because I just assumed if I unplugged the power cord it would go off, but the backup batteries kicked in. You have to turn it off with the volume control knob. You will hear a nice click when you turn it off and on, but unfortunately for me; that also makes me have to reset the volume every time I turn it on. No biggie once I get the volume to my desired level.3. There is no shuffle feature for MP3/USB feature. Now this is a bit interesting because although you cannot choose a shuffle mode, it seems to do that for you intermittently. I know what song my flashdrive is going to start with. That song's artist has 6 songs from the same CD so if I don't put the flashdrive in shuffle mode, all 6 songs will play in the order they were transferred and then the next CD and so on. So, this was the beginning scenario, but then after the 2nd song played, it went to another artist. Sometimes it seems to play all the songs from one CD/Cassette/Vinyl that was transferred to the flashdrive and other times it seems to shuffle. I'm not complaining because I would rather shuffle all my music than listen to it in the order that it was transferred to the flashdrive. And because there is no shuffle feature I have the following complaint...4. There is no remote control with this unit. I wish there was a remote because I honestly believe volume controls on a remote would make it easier to set the desired volume than trying to use a very sensitive turn dial and IF you want to move on to a different set of songs, you would be able to choose Next or Skip without having to get up, go to radio and use the button. And that would also make it a lot easier to use during game time.5. The battery compartment is really tight and hard to open. As of this review, I still haven't gotten it opened because I was afraid if I put too much force on it that I would break the little door. I will be sure to use a butter knife when I want to open it because I definitely don't want to break a nail and then get mad at it.Update on the "no shuffle mode" option...a few days prior to the game day marathon, I plugged unit in for a cleaning day at my house. I noticed that one song somehow got into a repeat mode and I counted, it played 6 times before going to the next song. I wrote the song down so I could check and see if the song was actually on the flashdrive that many times. This happened again with another song a few hours later but after the 3rd round I chose the skip option. Well, as many know, if you try to sync a song to a flashdrive, after the sync is completed you can click for update to see what songs were added to device and IF the song is already on device it will say "already on device" so 99% of the time, you are not going to be able to add the same song by the same artist on the same album. Now, when I checked my flashdrive, the song that played 6 times was on my flashdrive twice because it was on 2 different albums. So, I could understand it playing at a max twice, but not sure why it played 6 times. I deleted 5 of the duplicate songs. The other song that played 3 times was only on flashdrive once, so I'm not sure why it decided to repeat. All in all, I am very pleased with this unit. Note: I haven't tried to listen to the AM/FM radio because radio stations just aren't my style, so I'm not sure how good the reception is but the antenna seemed to stretch out really well, so I feel you would probably get good reception. If you want something you can attach flashdrive, MP3 player/iPod, etc to, this little unit would be ideal.Update: Yesterday (1/9/24) my area had a really bad winter storm and I had to pack up my cat and some supplies and head to a friend's house to seek shelter. Well, I took this with me and once I had BG cat settled in, I set up my office laptop in dining room and plugged this in. I worked for the next 5 hours and was so glad that I had my music with me. Had I not taken this, I either would not have had any music OR I would have been using a friend's radio and then I would have to listen to songs I didn't care for as well as commercials. This little beauty helped me work and pass the time away during a really rough storm. After using this unit for several hours on a daily basis, I have decided that this really is a nice unit and I plan on buying one for my brother as a retirement gift to put in his hobby/study. He also enjoys listening to music off a flashdrive, so that he has all music on one device.

Works Great. looks Great.
This radio worked right out of the box with good reception for my rural area. It looks good in my vintage kitchen too. It feels sturdy and well built. We have a lot of tropical weather here and I needed a new cordless radio for emergencies to keep handy. You can charge the internal battery but also has a battery compartment for standard batteries and plugs into a wall receptacle among other great features like Bluetooth.

Great Little Radio
I love this radio. The sound quality is great. It's small and compact and just perfect for my screened in porch. The dials are so cute and the radio picks up the stations that I listen to without any problems. I love that it is rechargeable or if needed I can plug it in to an outlet. This was really a good purchase.

Poor sound quality
I love, love, love the look, but the sound quality is poor and the volume doesn't adjust very well, either too quiet or too loud, no middle ground.Easy to set up and use.Size is great.Durability: doesn't look like it would withstand a lot of travel, but it's fine for sitting in one place.Performance I would have to say is poor for FM radio use.Static seems to clear up when volume is loud, but hard to hear clearly at lower volume.I'm debating about just returning it due to the volume issues.

Great Vintage Look
Very nice little radio. The sound is good. The volume control is a bit tricky. It is pretty much either loud or off. It is hard to to adjust the volume. Otherwise this is a nice vintage looking radio.
