SHIMANO Dura-Ace 9100 Pedal

Do not purchase until clarification. Received used product. Horrible, put in correct box all parts even in correct bag. What a joke! Looked like 3K plus wear! If sold used at correct price ok but this is larceny!

Very disappointed. The pedals arrived scuffed with grease on them. Clearly not new. AND the real kicker is, they were not even Shimano Dura- Ace Pedals.

I haven't had these on for very long, but they seem very well made and built to last. I'll update if I should find that impression changes (I doubt I will). All I can say is, why oh why did it take so long for me to get clipless pedals???? For those who have used clipless before, what follows isn't news to you. For those who are considering the change, read on. I cannot believe the difference in power! My average speed increased by 5mph and my heart rate was actually lower overall on my first ride with these. I'm actually able to use all of my leg/hip/core muscles on hills. I had previously had the toe cages in my flat pedals, which do allow for some pull (not just push) power, but the lateral movement and flexible shoes really swallow up a ton of power. Clipless eliminate all of that waste, and these are relatively easy to get used to.

If I had known what this pedal and cleats felt like, I would have moved on from my mountain bike pedal and 2-pin cleat set up long ago. I mean, the difference is just huge. Much lighter pedal, easy to engage with the cleats, feels better when riding from a standing or sitting position, feels like I am generating more force per stroke since the set up engages more surface of each foot.The cleat is wide, which I love, hence it sticks out to the side a little when viewed from the bottom.....but I don't care about that because it doesn't stick out when viewed from the top, and it does exactly what I need it to do and then some!Just amazing stuff!!

Dura Ace does not really need a review. Strong and light. This is the top of the line from Shimano used by professionals and serious bikers. Not sure you can get a better pedal out there. You just have to be willing to pay the price.
