Double CD album / Deluxe 24 page large format case-bound book with hard slipcaseParlophone Records are pleased to announce the release of IRON MAIDEN’s new double live album Nights Of The Dead - Legacy Of The Beast, Live in Mexico City on November 20th. Containing over 100 minutes of classic Maiden music and available in multiple formats, Nights Of The Dead - Legacy Of The Beast, Live in Mexico City was recorded during the band’s three sold out arena shows there in September 2019 and is a celebration of their Legacy Of The Beast World Tour which began in 2018 and will finish next Summer in Europe. Iron Maiden founder and bass player Steve Harris comments, “When the final leg of our 2020 Legacy tour this summer had to be cancelled due to the COVID pandemic, the whole band was very disappointed and deflated and we know our fans felt the same. We’d been really looking forward to bringing the show to even more countries and although we’ve been able to reschedule most of our European own-shows for 2021, we thought we’d take a listen to the recordings from the tour so far and see if we could create a definitive live album souvenir that everyone, everywhere could enjoy. I’m very pleased with the results, especially as this set list includes songs which have never made it to a live CD before, such as For The Greater Good Of God, and other older songs like Where Eagles Dare, Flight Of Icarus, The Clansman and Sign Of The Cross which haven’t been included in our live set releases for many years. We’ve never released a live album from Mexico before and I think this recording does justice to the passion and joy of our Mexican fans who always give us such a fantastic welcome whenever we play there.”

The Last "Live" Album Featuring Nicko McBrain?
The main reason that I picked this up was that I thought the potential existed for this to be the last live album featuring Nicko McBrain. Unless something is released from the band's recent "The Future Past Tour" it is probably likely that will be the case. Nicko McBrain was (is?) a solid drummer for the band so, as a fan, I know I'll miss his contribution.Overall, I liked the album. It was nice to hear Bruce Dickinson cover some of band's previous work from the Blaze Bailey era. The album features a lot of tracks from the Martin Birch-era which is fine but I do find myself wishing that Maiden would incorporate some more of their contemporary material into their live performances (e.g., from after Dickinson rejoined the band in '99).I really appreciated the packaging for this album. The liner notes written by Rod Smallwood were excellent. I also really liked the included artwork and the detailed description of how the concert progressed and the themes behind it. It sort of made me wish I was there so maybe a DVD or Blu Ray could be released down the road instead? I'm not really sure as up to this point my preferred route for investing in music has been CDs (since I feel that they offer superior quality audio files) but it did sort of feel like I missed out on part of the experience here by not being able to actually watch the concert firsthand.

Iron Maiden has never sounded better!
There is a depth to the sound on this recording. The band sounds amazing. Bruce could use some vocal support on the higher notes, but he delivers and I love that this band is still out there for us!

Worth waiting for but you can't track shipping - see below...
Great CD & picture book - bought it as a fond memory of seing IM in Las Vegas on this 2019 tour, the show we saw was on my husband's Birthday & 2 days before our wedding! However, I didn't realize shipping came from the UK....I was given a wide range of "arriving by" dates....took about 3 weeks. I tried to file a trace request and I just kept getting a robotic response with the same ETA I already had - I could not track WHERE the item was...in fact I just received it yesterday 4-10 and the order still shows as open "arriving by 4-20"! So I am pleased I got it earlier than promised, just keep in mind if you're someone who obsessively tracks shipments, you'll have to be patient.

Be Part of the Legacy...
This live album is very special for me, because I had the privilege to be in the concerts of September 27th and 29th. The set list is perfect and the show is amazing. This deluxe edition is very beautiful. I am a slave to the power of Iron Maiden.

Will not be disappointed!
I saw Iron Maiden in concert in St. Paul, MN a few weeks before this was recorded in Mexico City. I bought as a souvenir for the show I attended. The book real cool, well worth the price. Iron Maiden at their sonic best!
