Definitely an Upgrade!
I switched out this pump with my original one on a UTV sprayer because I needed more pressure after adding on some additional spray nozzle's. It did the trick and gave me enough pressure so I could extend my spray range from 12 feet to about 25 to 30 feet.

What has happened to shurflo's quality?
What has happened to Shurflo's quality. This is now my 3rd pump from Shurflo. All have had decent reviews. This pump burned out today while I was in the shower. I bought this pump last October. It had great flow and did till today when all of a sudden it just stopped working. At first, thought it was just a power issue but with the trusty volt meter it shows power all the way to the pump...DOA!My first Shurflo pump lasted 10 years. Now I have gone through 3 in the last 3.5 years.

Five stars
Excellent, I will never buy another cheap pump again. As soon as I hooked it up had nice even flow and good pressure.

So far so good
We use this sprayer on a UTV weed sprayer in our business. So far we are pleased with it. We like that it sprays instantly and there isn’t a delay in power. It is replacing the same pump that last approx 2 years which is pretty good for us using it daily for 8 hours straight.

Only worked for half an hour
Worked for about half an hour, then started to smell like burnt plastic and stopped running. Had great pressure while it was running, and turned on and off as it should when a tap was open. Maybe this one was just a dud? We ended up getting a different pump because it was pretty loud anyway.

Excellent for off-grid cabin.
My husband installed one of these in our off-grid cabin, powered by batteries that are charged via solar. We are using a rainwater harvesting system, so the water is right there in the cistern waiting to be pumped into the bladder tanks under pressure. Formerly we have been using a big 3/4 hp AC pump powered by a big noisy generator. With this pump installed, we can leave power from the batteries applied to the pump and it kicks on and off to maintain water pressure. There's a little set screw on the pressure switch where you can adjust the shut off pressure. We measured 14 amps of current at 50 psi. Now that we have a pump that's always ready, we could drop the top water pressure from 65 psi down to 55 and let the pump cycle more frequently. Before this we would run the generator about once per day. Best of all, nobody has to go start up the generator when water pressure is low. One of the nicest improvements so far!!!
