Fresh. Tons of flavor!
I used these vanilla beans to make homemade vanilla extract and it came out amazing! I am only upset that I didn’t order more before I ran out. Now I have to wait months before I can have another batch ready. They weren’t dry. The package was sealed airtight and I was able to make quite a bit for what I would’ve paid quadruple for if I bought that much vanilla extract I. Stores.

Grade-A, says it all!
I didn't realize until recently that there were different grades of vanilla beans...apparently I had been previously been ordering Grade B from another manufacturer/distributor, but once I learned of the Grade A ones, what a difference. These are not all dried out like the others, they are full of the vanilla beans inside the pods, the pods are nice and plump, and not dried out! Plus, they smell great. Used them for ice-cream and you can tell the difference with the improvement!

probably a grade A- or B+ not as moist as other brands but really quite nice still
They are def. above average and since either Grade A or B are fine for vanilla extract it all comes down to time it takes to infuse your extract. These took a bit longer 7 to 9 months vs the 6 month time.I do the extract in batches so for me it made no difference.Size: Size is great. I can split them with ease and they are larger than the Vanilla Bean Kings that I get. Much larger.Moisture: Moisture is probably a high B+ grade vs an A. I like working with ASmell: about a B in fragrance.Taste: quite good. again an average BIn short they are more than fine for making extract but it will take a bit longer and the fragrance isn't a knock you out fragrance. When you make your own you want to be swept off your feet so I might purchase these again with and mix with others.

Just love the scent
I bought these whole vanilla beans so I could make my own vanilla extract. The beans were in great condition and smelled devine. There were plenty of vanilla beans to make the extract and anything else I wanted to make with them. I will definitely buy them again.

What is not to like about Vanilla
I like the fact that I am able to make my own extract using these beans. I have been buying extra and handing them out to friends who like to bake or took an interest in making vanilla extract on their own. You only need 2 ingredients for homemade vanilla extract: vanilla beans and vodka. Let the vanilla beans infuse the vodka for as little as 8 weeks, but for optimal flavor, wait at least 6-12 months before using. I placed the vodka in a mason jar. Sliced the beans and stored it in the closet. I took. it out every week to give it a gentle shake and placed it back in the closet.....now I have vanilla extract. It just takes time and it is worth it.
