Does the opposite. AVOID.
I don't like to give negative reviews and the vast majority of purchases I've made are fine however this item is actually worse than useless. This item reduces rather than boosts wi-fi. I returned it. It's a total waste of money. AVOID at all costs.

Failed to see any improvement
No improvement, not even in the same room. On the plus side, the on light worked. Now in the back of my cupboard

Highly satisfactory
It’s a fair price and I bought it with the view, if it doesn’t work so be it. With a little fiddling to set it up which took an hour or so and experimenting with the best position it works well and has been a godsend.
