Great ice maker!
Got this to keep my small biz from home stocked with ice and it is great! Unboxed it, let it stand for 24 hours as instructed then set it up.Using a big water jug because I dont have it in a permanent spot yet for a water line is no issue. I also just use a low drain pan/bowl to collect drain water. It kicks out cubes every 22 minutes or in about 4 hours fills up the ice bin. Put ice in bags then those go into my small deep freezer to store until use.You do need to break up the thicker cubes at times, when it gets close to full the ice drops but hangs on top of pile and stops production on the shut off door. I use the scoop to break ice to get it to fill at max capacity. In about 24 hours it goes through the 5 gallon water jug and I get 6 FULL big bags of ice! Just keep an eye on drain pan so it won’t overflow and empty it at times.Makes plenty of ice to keep my coolers full as needed, ice bin holds 1 full bag so you do need to fill bags and freeze then if filling BIG coolers.A big $$$ and time saver for me I have ice on hand all the time now and don’t have to stop and buy 4-6 bags at the store anymore! I got an extended warranty too but no need yet, this is a nice ice making monster, keeps spitting it out!Size wise it is like a water cooler with the jug on top, not a table top machine. I will eventually run a water/drain line but for now its doing fine being set up freestanding. Glad I bought it.

Worked better than expected!
Bought this for our church. It was a week before an event and our 20 yr. old ice maker died. This unit arrived quickly and was easy to install although I had to go to the local hardware to buy a dollar adapter to hook up the water to our valve. I built a dolly to put it on for easy access to the utilities. Turned it on the night before the event. When we arrived the next morning the bin was full and it had shut off properly. During the next few hours while setting up for the event this ice maker made enough ice to fill three 10/12 lb. reusable bags which came with ice maker. We've had it a month and have used it weekly with success. The timer is how the thickness of the ice is determined. Only suggestion I have is that an American write the manual for those sold in the USA

Just the ice maker we needed
We were looking for a way to have plenty of ice for our active family, especially in the summer when it gets HOT where we live! We wanted a unit we could hook up to our reverse osmosis system that would quickly make lots of clear fresh ice each day and that wouldn’t be too noisy to install in our kitchen. This LifePlus unit is just what we were looking for. It was easy for me to install and configure. I do have some experience with plumbing, so connecting this to the RO system and running the drain line were easy for me. It made the first batch of ice in 12 minutes, and continues to turn out more reliably. The ice is clear and of high quality. As the machine is not designed to keep the ice cold long term, I use the scoop to load up a bin I keep in my freezer and I refill the built-in ice dispenser in our fridge from that. The family isn’t going to run out of ice now!I run the LifePlus until I have plenty of ice stored and then shut it down this only take a few hours now and will take a little longer in the summer. You could also simply let your family, guests, or employees get their ice directly from the machine and we may do this at parties. I expect to use the timer part of the time to start the ice maker early in tue morning so that plenty of ice is ready to use first thing on hot summer days.We are very happy with this unit!

Not as described, arrived missing parts
I had high hopes for this especially for the price but was sadly disappointed. It arrived missing most of its protective wrap appeared scratched and used and missing the water line kit. I reached out to seller which was very slow to respond in which suggested using bucket water and offered a $20 rebate. Since yesterday mid morning i had it on using a 5 gallon jug and in that time i noticed it uses ALOT of water and does not recirculate the water as advertised nor do they tell you all ice that melts needs to be drained into another bucket which is a complete waste as this icemaker will not hold ice in frozen form for long. Another issue is putting the 5 gallon jug on top without making a complete mess as the hole on top is way too small. The biggest deal breaker for me was waking up this morning to my kitchen floor flooded, the 5 gallon jug almost empty and water everywhere and im not sure exactly where it came from but does appear to be from the top. I will be sending this back.UPDATE: Seller did provide me a full refund for the item and shipped out the missing water line kit but unfortunately we were not able to fix the leaking problem which may have been caused during shipping.

Worked well for 2 weeks
I'm already returning this only after one month. It leaks, and I can't find where. I tried to contact support, but since this is an Amazon-supported item, the only option I had was to return it. It's a shame because it worked well; it made lots of ice and was a little noisy, but it worked well for me.

Making ice like a charm
Arrived earlier than expected, husband got hooked up quickly and is now working like a charm. Only complaint is it arrived with a dented in box and had a dent on the front of the stainless steel. But is working great at this time.

Good machine for small commercial operation.
The size works well in a 15" wide by 30" high by 15" deep cabinet opening. Some additional plumbing parts (adapters, valve, hose clamps) may need to be purchased separately to allow for automatic fill and drain modes, and the accordian drain hose is kind of fragile and easily damaged when connecting to a drain hose adapter, but overall a good value for the money. The plastic front door has four 1/4" diameter plastic pins that extend out to the sides and which are held in place and slide up and down in side channels. If not careful when opening and closing the door (it is kind of tricky) one or more of the plastic door pins can break off, making the door unusable and non-repairable.
