My desk chair rolled too much on the vinyl plank flooring. I had to hold onto my desk to keep from sailing across the room. A rubber backed throw rug rumpled up as I moved the chair around and did not allow for easy movement.I needed something that would stay flat but was not as slick as the floor.This mat did the trick.Out of the box it rolled out flat. My chair moves easily but stays put when I am not actively moving it. It also matches my desk chair and my computer!The only con is that it does move over a period of days. Once every 5-7 days I shift it back into position. The movement is slight. My desk is 40" wide and the mat, at its widest point, is 47". If the desk was wide enough to get the mat all the way under, it probably would not be as noticeable.I am very happy with it and recommend it.

I bought this toy go under my whelping box for my puppies, to protect my carpet. It's heavy duty and keeps the carpet from having anything wet get on it. Great value for the money spent. I can move over with ease. It works great. I'll buy another one in the future

This office mat is very sturdy and thick. Was hoping it could do the job to help with at home office on a medium carpet rub. Big problem is that it does not stay in place.It moves and I end up moving office chair and repositioning the mat. Every day.I tried clipping it to the rug. I tried turning the mat it somewhat worked but space is too smallAnd I kept tripping over the extra length.Will look for another one.Beware that the grips on this mat are very sharp. Careful with your fingers.

Using for my office chair over soft carpet. Arrived folded and cold, so it took a lot of effort to get it to lie flat.One factor...because it is more flexible, it will protect th carpet but that also means the desk chair does not roll as easily.Better than nothing.

Horrible Mat. Read the instructions, cut my hands trying to unravel. Finally got it sort of flat and left heavy boxes all over the mat for a weekend. Monday, removed the boxes and it still wasn't flat. Moved the mat to where it belongs and it has waves, the edges are raised so it has become a tripping hazard and I can't open the bottom drawer of a file cabinet. I have been putting heavy boxes all around the edges to try and flatten it. Its been 2 weeks, still wavy. What a waste of money. UPDATE: A month later, many heavy boxes used to try and flatten it, still not flat. And it's a tripping hazard. I'll have to have someone come, with very heavy gloves as the puncture wounds on my hands finally healed, to try and reroll it to throw it away. Stay away from all things Homek. UPDATE 07/2024: The edge is still rolled under, not laying flat. And now if has developed small cracks all over.UPDATE 12/2024-The entire mat is falling apart in little pieces. Stay away from this mat, a total waste of money (and the edge is still rolled up a little, I have put heavy boxes on it off and on all year, still not flat)

This is heavy duty and stays still on the carpet. Thick plastic and clear.

I have a custom TV tray type rolling wood top for use with Lazy Boy in the master bedroom. This allows rolling around the Laptop service.

I did a lot of research to find a mat that sounded sturdy enough for my office use. We have low pile carpet and our chairs are standard office chairs. But right out of the box our chairs made an immediate indentation that didn't spring back into shape and it was difficult to scoot the chairs across it. VERY difficult. I'm returning it for something thicker. It was also a HUGE hassle to get it flattened. It should be packaged in a larger box like others I've purchased. They always come rolled, but this was way too tight.
