Pepzin is helpful, along with dietary changes, weight loss, etc for reducing acid reflux & GERD. I wouldn't be without. As such, this is a useful product. I don't know that it is any better than the other Pepzin product I was using. I will say this though...as a chewable, you'd think that would be the best way to use the product. However, when I chewed it, it would upset my stomach. I found it was much easier on my stomach when I just swallow them whole. So if you're one of those people that get an upset stomach when you chew them, try them whole. It's much better......at least for me. On a side note, the instructions say with or without a meal. it is my understanding that PepZin is always best taken on an empty stomach. This allows the active ingredients to freely adhere to the damaged parts of the stomach lining in order to help heal it.

I have had horrible heartburn/GERD for several years. I accidentally came upon the zinc/carnosine combo when looking for holistic remedies. WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Even after eating a large (trigger) Thanksgiving supper and chocolate (trigger) pie, I didn't have any heartburn/GERD!!!The ones I have are chewable, they don't have a taste at all. I have only taken them for 5 days, but the difference is so amazing that I've told everyone that I know has any kind of stomach issues. I'm glad I signed up for the monthly subscription!

I really messed my insides bad by "trying" Mimosa Pudica (recommended for a cleanse). I will never do that again!I was trying various things to help with the pain of whatever happened (burns and GERD), with not much relief.I had even tried another brand of this Zinc, with not a lot of luck. I saw this one, and can definitely contribute to a 5-star rating! I chew one, and let the juices run down the esophagus into the empty stomach. If one is having no relief from this, I suggest trying Pure Aloe Vera juice (2 to 3 oz. to coat stomach, and then eat a light breakfast of cooked buckwheat grain cereal). Best wishes.

I had high hopes that this would help me with acid reflux but was greatly disappointed that I wasted my money. The first time I took it, I could feel it didn't sit well in my stomach, but I figured maybe it was because of something I had eaten. The second time I threw up shortly after but thought that maybe it was because I hadn't eaten enough. The third time my stomach started hurting badly right after, so I knew it was this tablet causing me issues all along. I don't know, it may be just too intense for me, but I definitely would not recommend it.
