Mower Pro-Gear T7201B Differential Replaces DR Mower 192301 19230

This is so much beefier the the original one that there is no comparison. Worth the money to not have any axle problems.

Fit my at2 DR mower. A little wider wheel stance than stock but adjust to fit chassis. Much heavier built than stock unit.

I had to replace this differntial/axle on a 17 HP Dr field and brush mower, the original part broke up after about 360 hrs of heavy use. This replacement part is far heavier duty than the OEM part that disintegrated on me. The old unit had the same 4 allen bolts holding the diff together and the sprocket on ( way too much for 4 small bolts about 5" long), In hindsight its a wonder the unit held together as long as it did. These 4 bolts/nuts which are difficult to see under the mower, gradually worked loose allowing the bolts to back out, of course at that point all heck breaks loose. Contrast that situation to the new diff, which has 8 bolts holding the sprocket in place and 6 additional bolts holding the differential together. Gee I wonder which is more robust, 14 bolts or 4 ? Plus the unit is stronger in the axle area where the wheels bolt on the ends and I believe is about an inch wider overall giving more stability to the mower. It fit on the mower which is a 2007 model 17 HP Kawasaki powered DR field and brush mower. The bad news is I found out amazon offers this part for $270 with shipping after I ordered this from DR for $330 bucks with shipping. Great !!! Anyway thats the scoop, this new designed part is way better than the OEM unit that failed me, funny when I asked DR reps if anyone else ever had this issue, they replied, "no, never heard of this happening before" !! No doubt thats why the part was beefed up and newly designed, because nobody ever had issues with it, right. Cheers all !!
