GRANDWISHCast Iron Skillet Pan, Pre-Seasoned Round Griddle Pan for Pancakes, BBQ, Pizza Pan with Handles (35 cm)

Bought as a replacement for an old skillet that doesn't work with our new induction cook top.My missus loves to cook on a skillet and she was disappointed to find the old skillet (passed on to us from her grandfather) didn't work after an update to the kitchen appliances, so we bought this.It's heavy and well made, works great and holds the heat. No issues with it, was nonstick right out the gate.Clean in hot water and a quick season to get started and it's been great, unless something changes, I see this being a part of the kitchen kit for a good while.Scotch pancakes, omelets, steaks, full english breakfast, this thing has space to cook what you like.If I'm being super picky, maybe a square / oblong shape would enable more efficient space use on the hob.We just place it on the hob, steady away with the heating process and it's been great. It's not warped yet and nothing seems to stick so it's all good.

Great quality, light weight considering its cast iron.

When I got this, to say it has a rough surface finish is a bit of an understatement, it shreds paper towels!.So first thin I did was seriously accelerate heavy use by rubbing it all over with another piece of cast iron (Flat Iron Press) and then gave it a really good going over with stainless chain mail.This left lots of silver dots where the sharp bits stuck up especially in the middle so this would imply it is already slightly bowed.Anyway, good clean and re-seasoning and I now have a nice cast iron skillet pan that is much smoother than when new.It no longer shreds paper towels but does what it should which is cook food well.I use this on my wok burner but have to be careful as 300 deg C is easily achieved.Have had this for a while now and don't use my other cast iron pans anywhere near as much as previously, this is a nice size on the wok burner and I use it for crispy bacon, fried onions and smash burgers with toasted brioche buns (Spread mayo on them first), hardly any oil, just a small amount wiped over and that's it. Just clean it and treat it as any other cast iron and it will last for a long long time.I have also used it on my Petromax Rocket Stove where it sits perfectly, just burn a small fire, like barely any fuel else it will get too hot, but be warned, any pan on the rocket stove will get soot on the bottom.

I bought this soley because I make my own pizzas and have become somewhat obsessed with a crispy base. Heat this bad boy up on the stove till its smoking hot,then slap on your pizza dough base, add your ingredients then transfer to a hot oven and 8 minutes later, voila!It retains the heat and helps cook the pizza whilst in the oven, giving excellent results. I give it full marks for this alone. The non stick qualities are great.You will not be disappointed

This is by far the worst thing I have purchased. I bought it thinking it would be great to make pancakes on. When I got it out the box you get instructions on how you need to coat it with oil stick it in the oven for an hour and repeat preferably 3 times. I did all this. Put the pancakes on yesterday and they stuck. The pan is a waste of money
