Great resource!
Exactly what I needed! Happy to have the songs so I can play through them. This is an easy version for piano. I just add my own throughout.

Perfect for my needs.
Easy arrangements of the songs from the musical. The vocal parts for the most part fit a mezzo-soprano or baritone range.

NOT FOR ADVANCED PLAYERS
Great book! A little too easy for me, but for a beginner(1-3) piano years of experience its a perfect book. The sheet music is very well written and follows the actual score pretty well.

Very fun to play!
I've mastered about every single song in this book and memorized 2, almost 3 of the songs. Only 2 complaints, 1. I wish that they would have included all the songs from the musical. Some of the songs aren't in the book that are on the cd (ex: The Stampede, The Lioness Hunt, ect.) 2. I wish it would have written the songs as they are on the cd. For example, I wish Nants' Ingonyama and Circle of Life were combined as one song, not 2 different songs in 2 different keys, which makes it very hard to combine them. Another example, Shadowland. Shadowland is the song I was looking forward to playing the most, however, I was disappointed. Instead of playing the melody (Nala's part) it only plays the lionesses' part in the background, so it is just like you are playing the same thing over and over again. The same thing is for Endless Night. Also, I noticed in I Just Can't Wait to be King that the have it written that Simba sings Nala's line, which is, "Kings don't need advice from little hornbills for a start." Simba sings that line in the movie, however, Nala sings it in the Broadway play. And because they have it that Simba sings it, it makes me kind of feel like they just took the music from the movie and just threw it in the Broadway musical book. However, the music is very fun to play and I really do enjoy it! A very good purchase! (:

Fun memories...
I purchased this for my daughter so she could play Lion King songs on the piano for her son (my grandson) who loves everything about the Lion King. I can picture them having a fun sing-along time!

Good for piano players, bad for vocalists.
I was hoping for the orchestration from the Broadway show. In these compositions, the piano takes the place of vocals, no good for accompaniment.
