EatMyTackle Bent Butt Fishing Rod | Blue Marlin Tournament Edition

I bought these rods not really knowing what to expect. I was happy when I received them, the quality looked excellent and for the price you can't beat them! I did have some questions and concerns initially, but the Customer Service at Eat My Tackle was very response and helped educate me on the proper use of the Rods and the construction process they use, which is similar to AFTCO style components. I have since bought Dredges and Lures from them, and will continue to buy products from them in the future. Great People and Service at Eat My Tackle!

Very awesome rod!!! Best bang for the BUCK!! I put a 50wide on it and it performs beautifully!!! Eats up wahoo and kingfish!!! Use up to a 34oz lead on it with no problem

These are terrible rods. I've had Penns for a few of my 50 wides for years. I needed 2 more 50 wides and bent butt rods. I chose these. Quite a mistake for 2 reasons. First - the intended use was high speed trolling for wahoo. The tip has a sharp upper edge. I was high speed trolling at 14 knots with normal 36 oz lead and wahoo lures. I had 80 lbs hollow core braid. The regular pull at this speed and weight causes the line to rub against the sharp upper tip. I lost 2 wahoo rigs (weight, shock leader, and lure) because the sharp tip broke the line. 2 wahoo rigs like this are quite expensive.Second - after the first trip out the rollers are already showing signs of corrosion even after I cleaned them properly.UPDATE: The seller contacted me and is making a full refund. EXCELLENT customer service and proof they stand behind their product. Although these rods didn't work for me for high speed trolling I have no doubt they'd be good rods for bottom dropping.So after spending $400 for the rods and losing tackle worth probably another $50, I am putting these rods in the trash after one use. I can send pictures if anyone wants.

Has no taper, bends starting at the reel seat, but does the job, I could not buy the components and build it myself for the price of the parts

Nice rods. I've had them out a few times and pulled some wahoo and tuna in. Finish seems to be holding up well. Shipping was fast and they were packed well. Now I just need some outriggers to match

I like the price, however, the rollers keep freezing up requiring lubrication, my other 2 rods require typical wash down after use, no roller freeze or corrosion

Purchased for high speed trolling wahoo in south Florida. Great looking rods and have performed very well.
