Just what we needed for my daughter's helmet that didn't have a cage on it. It was easy to purchase, shipped quickly, and was easy to apply to the helmet. So far it's held up nicely as well

Bought this for My 6 year old for the spring season softball. I bought the helmet 2 fall ball seasons ago with no guard, but its reacently become a regulation where we live for all helmets to have a face guard. I had No issues getting the face guard on. I started the thread on all 4 screws, then completely tightened the screws from left bottom, to right top, back to left top, then finish with right bottom. Creating an X. And hit them all one last time to make sure it was on good. It also came with a chin stap which I wasn't expecting so that was a nice plus.! Only thing I wish is the chin strap had a little padding in it. But over all I'm satisfied.

Fit our helmet perfectly and took maybe a minute to put on. It comes with a chinstrap as well.

We purchased this to "upgrade" our daughter's helmet to current regulations requiring the grill/cage. Included a picture of the helmet we had, but do not have a picture with cage installed. The reason we chose this one is because another one of the reviews showed the same helmet with the cage installed, so that gave us confidence to order. Received earlier than expected AND it fit PERFECTLY on her Rawlings T-Ball Coolflow "Vapor" t-ball helmet. Came with all the needed screws and was easy to install. Absolutely pleased that we did not have to purchase a whole new helmet.

So little kiddo needed a face guard for his baseball helmet per league regulations. Looked up to see if his helmet had an exact part for it, but the Rawlings website didn't have an exact listing for his helmet part number - CFTBH-R1. Fortunately, a bunch of other websites indicated that this helmet is related to (or the same as) the RCFTB helmet, which had this BBYWG face guard listed as being compatible.The face guard feels really sturdy and smooth, and has a matte black finish so there shouldn't be much glare on sunny days.Installation needs to be done with just a little care. The screws that came with the face guard fit the machined holes on the helmet perfectly, but I can see it being really easy to force the screws in at a bad angle and mess up the helmet holes. The holes in the face guard for the screws are also machined pretty closely to the screw diameter, so there isn't much wiggle room for the screw. You should test-fit the screws into the holes without the face guard, just to see the correct angle for the screw. Then, as you're screwing in the face guard, it's probably best to play around with the angle until the screw goes in with not too much force. I found that applying some pressure from inside the helmet on the ear flaps helps move the helmet screw holes into a more favorable position. Get all the screws into the correct alignment in the helmet before tightening them all down.

I was worried when I read/watched some of these reviews, but the face mask worked out perfectly for me. My son uses the Rawlings Vapor helmet size 6.5-7.5 and the cage screwed right in as I would've expected. No more foul tips to the cheek!

I bought this to go with my daughters helmet of the same brand. It was easy to install onto the helmet and seems to be good quality. Thankfully we haven't had to test the effectiveness! (Knock on wood)
