This is my three week report. As the instructions state, it can take up to 3-6 months to see results on existing scars. I'm using the Mederma PM cream on the following areas:- Cheeks and temples for acne scars from 20 years ago- Bridge of nose for scar from dog bite from 30 years ago- Raised, purplish-red surgery scar on stomach from 1.5 years agoI've always wanted to use Mederma. When I was a teenager, my doctor told me he highly recommended it for my acne scars. It's a product that medical professionals have tested and it seems to be something that actually works. Unfortunately I always had a very bad reaction to it. Redness, painful itching and sensitivity. This is a known side effect that's listed on the label (but only happens with some people). I was never able to use it for more than a few applications before I had to stop. I tried several times throughout my teenage years and in my 20s.When I saw that Mederma made a thicker, concentrated night cream, I decided to give it another try. I'm very happy I did. I haven't had any negative reactions at all.Initial Impressions:So far I'm loving the cream. It's thick and spreads very easily, absorbs well and doesn't leave any residue or stains on my sheets. When I wake up in the morning, it's completely absorbed into my skin and doesn't appear greasy. This is by far the best consistency I've found in any night cream. I really like it. As others have stated, the jar is surprisingly small. You might be surprised, especially considering the price. But after three weeks of usage (and I slather it on liberally), the jar still looks mostly full, so I feel confident that this will last a while. The cream really does spread well, so you don't need to use a lot. I'm using more than I need to.Since it's only been three weeks, there aren't dramatic results. This is going to take some time and I understand that. But I did notice today in the mirror that my cheeks look a little smoother. There's on particular acne scar that looks like an indentation in my cheek and it's slightly smoother too.The only thing I don't like:There is one thing I don't like — the onion smell. It is intense. Really intense. Mederma has always used onion as part of their ingredients. Apparently that's one of the key ingredients that helps the skin heal, so I understand that it's a necessary and important ingredient. But wow. The smell in this is much stronger than it was in the regular, thinner, clear cream.The first time I used it, I put a heavily scented lotion under my nose just to block out the onion smell. (It didn't do much good.) I've adjusted to it and now it's tolerable, but when I wash my face in the morning, the smell rises to the surface as if it's leaking from my pores. Thankfully it goes away once my face is clean.Closing thoughts:Despite the onion smell, I am very pleased with Mederma PM. I'm happy that I haven't had any of the redness or itching I had with the regular formula and I feel confident that this is going to work for me. I'm committed to using it nightly and realize it takes a while to undo years of battle scars. Hey, that's part of getting older. We'll see what happens after a couple of months. So far, so good.

I love this product and I decided to get a bigger jar.I have some scars and I purchased the tubes and they have given me great results.I recommend this product to anyone that has visible scars.Thank you.

I wish I had taken before photos. But when I remember what my skin looked like I’m not surprised I didn’t.Horrible acne, some cystic and plenty of scars. It looked painful and was! I was devastated as the scarring increased all along my chin and cheeks. It felt like an acne beard.It was so bad I went to the doctor to get labs done, nothing. Even my doctor was surprised at the severity and lack of apparent cause.I got mederma pm three and a half months ago, I’ve used it religiously. I’ve also been using the once a day not as regularly but more so lately. I strongly suggest using both for faster results.Ive also come to the realization that my somewhat oily skin does not care for soaps of any kind on my face, I’ve switched to washing my face with grape seed oil and that made a huge difference.It didnt affect the more indented scars as well as the flatter red scars, I introduced collagen sheet masks to my routine and that did the trick.In a couple weeks I leave on safari for 3 weeks,I won’t be bringing makeup and for the first time in what has like felt a very long time I’m not embarresed to be seen or have my picture taken.Thank you mederma for saving my skin and my vacation!Seriously, if you are affected by acne scars give this a try! I’m going to keep at it, I’m excited to see what I look like after 6months.Using every night for more than 3 months I still have half the jar. Plenty of product.

This made mt skin feel great but the scar I was wanting to have not be so visible it did nothing for!

I’m using this product for stretch marks that have recently appeared on my inner and back thighs (Hooray...) they were a deep purple when they first appeared and hadn’t been changing. So I started looking around for something to use. So far I’m really happy with this cream. I was using a different mederma cream with SPF but I wanted something for night time too. I wasn’t seeing any results with the one with SPF after a week or so but I know the sun can make stretch marks worse so I diligently apply SPF when I wear shorts. So far since using this intensive cream I swear my stretch marks on my inner thighs have gotten lighter and one area they are nearly completely gone!! I feel like my darkest stretch marks are a lighter shade of pink, less purple. It might just be the natural healing process but I really think this product is doing something. I should also add that im cleaning up my diet in an effort to lose weight since that can help get rid of stretch marks as well. I’m also taking a collagen supplement in an effort to help my skin as much as possible. (Although I’m pretty bad about taking the collagen regularly) I’m applying it every night and the smell isn’t my favorite but it soaks in nicely. I’ll update this review once I’ve used more of the jar!
