Myself, and others, have the same question. I wish the question could be answered without the arrogant ridicule I just read. I’m trying to figure out why this a silly question? “…enough for reasonable usage.” is a “silly” answer. If you cannot answer a legitimate question then don’t ridicule, just don’t answer. They asked a completely legitimate question. The Gauss number, to an intelligent and knowable person, is a standard rating of magnetic flux density and is the most common standard of measuring/comparing magnetic strength/force. It is a completely legitimate question. “…enough for reasonable usage.” Really??? That is not helpful. Maybe you consider holding a two-year-old’s crayon scribbles on a scrap of paper to the fridge reasonable. Maybe the asker is trying to figure out how many magnets he needs to hang a bulldozer from the I-beams in his garage. Who knows. But your answer was not in any way a helpful answer to his legitimate question.
