Originally, I went to my local Costco and found several products similar to this. After trying out a few, I decided that they were not for me, and started to look around here.I purchased this product prior to my 2200 miles driving trip through the desert country (Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada). I needed it since I burn easily even with plenty of sun block at a lot cooler climate.While ordering the product, I was worried about how I would put this in the luggage since I was not going to need it until day 2 of 7. When the package came, it was in a nice and flat mail pouch. So I knew that I can just put in the luggage or in a car on top of the luggage.Product is made of Polyester and cotton blend and very light weight, easy to use and adjust. I usually medium size hats so this was a little bigger than my size but I was able to adjust easily using the Velcro tape.The brim of the hat is about 3” and it covers sun very effectively. (If you look at my picture, you will see that my face was partially shaded by the brim and it was taken on Aug 31st, 2016 at the Grand Canyon National Park. One thing I wish this product does is that the brim be able to fold in place using a snap caps.I was and had to use the chin strap due to very windy conditions near the Canyon brim and glad this product came with it. Otherwise, my hat would have been at the bottom of the Grand Canyon National Park and a part of the park. (We saw many hats at the bottom or near cliffs).Great product to have if you are into outdoor stuff (Hiking, Camping, horseback riding (even Boating). I am going to be using this product or similar products from now on.I am in no affiliation what so ever with the seller and my opinion is of my own. I looked all over for a sun hat a full wrap around brim with a neck protection flap that I liked. I also wanted the neck flap to be removable and I did not want a mesh top as I don't need my head getting sunburned though the mesh. Well, this hat doesn't have a removable neck flap, but the neck flap that it does have tucks into a pocket on the bottom of the brim that is held closed with a Velcro type tab. That's a good feature and ensures that I won't forget or lose the flap.The brim is nice and thick and should stand up to some serious knocking about. The whole hat is pretty heavy duty and should last a good while.It has some vents in the top to aid in cooling, but I don't know how effective they will be.The removable and adjustable chin strap is something that I might lose, but if I do I probably won't care. The clips on the ends of the chin strap don't seem that strong, but they may be enough for what they are intended to do.Finally, the strap around the top of the hat is for adjusting the size, kind of like the adjustment strap on the back of a baseball cap. It locks in position with Velcro like stuff, too.I received this in July of 2016. I'll see how much I like it after a vacation or two.

Try to remember that this is a hat, obviously designed and priced to NOT BE JEWELRY. It is a function only item. Any luck you have in being stylish with this hat, is purely by chance or purely by virtue of how confident a person you are while wearing it. This is one of those items which doesn't need to jump through hoops... it just needs to keep the sun off your head and neck, and it does that wonderfully.I've been exposing myself to harmful sun rays for decades, all the while telling myself that "one day"... "one day" I will devise a protective cover for my head and neck... but that day never came, until now; but I didn't design it... I just bought it here on Amazon... and it's perfect.I keep this hat/neck flap combo hanging on my entry door, and I grab it as I'm heading out to walk my dog, every day.The coverage area of the hat is wide enough to keep the sun off my face, my neck, and my scalp. I'm not asking for more than that from a ten to fifteen dollar hat.It's very nice that this hat is inexpensive. Why? Well, for the following reasons:1. I can just click to buy it, without any fear or dread of making a horrible mistake. It's so cheap that I can easily absorb the loss of the purchase if it does not meet my expectations2. Because it's so low cost, I can afford to buy more than one, which allows me to keep one...and also give one as a gift, or just have backups for myself, in case I misplace or lose my primary hat.3. It's low cost, so when it gets ripped, or stained, or generally dirty, or faded by constant exposure to the sun, I can just buy another one (and the cost of both the original, and it's replacement, is still of no consequence).Anyone who buys this hat can find reasons to nitpick. Boohoo the brim is too wide... boohoo the brim is not wide enough... boohoo it's too big or small... boohoo the fabric isn't SPF70... boohoo it arrived folded in half, etc., etc.I've only had this hat for months, not years, but it gave me my money's worth on the first day. I have not regretted this purchase for even one minute. The hat is still structurally sound, with no annoyances, or pitfalls, whatsoever. I'm 100% satisfied. If you want more, then head off to the jewelry store.No touch screens were harmed to create this review.

The hat is very nice and lightweight. The bill is very flimsy though. The hat gives great sun protection and is very comfortable to wear. The material for the top of the bat is super thin and airy, but looks very nice. Not really a stylish hat for wearing to a nice event, but is great for outdoor activity where sun protection is needed.

Needed more coverage to protect from sun, this hat is lightweight, cool, and great coverage!

I like that it keeps the sun off my neck, ears, nose and head. I like that the neck flap is ventilated. I wish the hat itself were ventilated. Overall, I am very well pleased. It seems to be well made.
