Very good range, very affordable
I used this to replace a Technics stylus that was wearing out, and had been through the ringer during a couple of moves. First thing I noticed is that the construction on the LP Gear stylus is much sturdier, with a more robust shank, and a wider stylus tip & contact profile. I'm sure that this added size and heft likely takes away a little bit of sensitivity and range response, but honestly, it kicked the crap out of my old stylus in sound delivery too! It's delivers a louder signal, very balanced considering the price, is sturdier and less likely to deflect accidentally, and tracks beautifully well once the cantilever arm is weighted/adjusted appropriately. I'm sort of amazed at the improvement for the cost. Natural notes, pianos, voices, and crisp treble comes through effortlessly. Low range bass is where this seems to slouch a little bit - but it IS still sensitive enough to pick up plenty of the beef, and only misses out on a cut or two of the fine steaks. I really can't complain. Maybe someday I'll be comfortable enough to order an Orto, but for now, this is a divine little improvement on my setup. I'd easily recommend this product, given my experience.

Great sound improvement
Fit perfectly in my 40-year-old turntable. Installation was easy as changing a light bulb. When I fired it up my wife came from three rooms away amazed at the difference in sound quality. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Great value in a T4P P-Mount cartridge if you have the tonearm/headshell for it.
First, the good. I was looking for a quality T4P (P-mount) cartridge for my old Yamaha direct drive turntable that has a carbon fiber tonearm with an 11 gram total effective mass, since the spare headshell was P-mount, and the stylus cost for my 1/2" cartridge is 3X the LP Gear CF4TPSE price. A turntable of my Yamaha's caliber today would cost about $1000, due to its excellent specs/performance, and more money to add a worthy phono preamp and a good moderately-high compliance cartridge. I was happy to find this LP Gear unit. It looked like a decent match at a great price, and yes it was. Very good sonically for the price and also a very decent tracker at 1.5 grams. Sure, my $200 stylus in my standard headshell has a slight edge sonically, but without direct A/B comparison, it's hard to tell the difference and very enjoyable to sit and listen to. Also, it appears that the SE stylus may be upgraded if desired. .../Now, the not so good. If you look at the visual picture of the cartridge on Amazon AND on LP Gear's website, you see an almost black carbon fiber looking cartridge with a blue-ish stylus assembly. The cartridge and stylus assembly I received is actually all the same color, which is actually similar to the blue-ish stylus assembly, but uglier/cheaper looking in person, as its glaring color makes it look like a truly cheap cartridge connected to a good carbon fiber tonearm/headshell here at my place. It doesn't sound that way, so if you can get past its cheap puke-blue look, it's definitely worth what it costs if performance is your primary concern. Hence, I'm happy with its performance, but fairly disappointed that it doesn't look the part, as it does on the web. As always... Good luck with your purchases!

Great product and customer service
Received my cartridge and stylus 4 days early, immediately installed and enjoyed. Sound quality is a definite upgrade over the AT85EP previous installed. All questions were answered quickly before buying by LP Gear rep and the community of brand supporters. If you are in need of a P-Mount cartridge or stylus, I would highly recommend LA Gear.

Eh...
So let's start off with yes, it sounds great and is a fantastic option for P Mount tables and thank you to LP Gear for still making and innovating P mount cartridges! I swapped an AT85 for this and heard zero difference. None. So do with that what you will but what did and always does is a good multi band EQ. Don't let the vinyl snobs tell you it's wrong because it's not. Trust your ears, not someone else's mouth. Having said that I would buy it again for my next P mount table

Good for the price. Meh.
I got this product for a p-mount technics turntable. After comparing the sound to that of a $30 audio technica cartridge, the performance is certainly comparable, and using a liquid spark headphone amp and massdrop senhiser hd 6xx headphones, the lp edges out. Pretty good, but there are better stylus' for the price in standard and 1/2 inch mounts. Look elsewhere unless, like my technics, your turntable requires a p-mount cartridge, and you want to pay $15 more than what the product is offered for on the original website for "faster" shipping.
