I gave it 4 stars for sturdy because I mean..... It's glass. The top is not extremely fragile and thin glass, but still would not call it sturdy. Don't drop it and you'll be fine.I put 3-4 doughnuts in here, stack and overlap them in a cute way and they fit fine for our little family.Will also hold about 4 cupcakes. Because I don't want to get the bottom sticky often I will line it with some wax paper before putting items on the plate. The things we have put on it have stayed fresh enough for a few days and the doughnuts don't get stale or that sticky wetness from moisture build up either.It looks great on the counter when we use it, next to the coffee pot area. Looks like a little café. I recommend it for small family snacks or a cute decoration during a brunch or kid's sleepover.

I have a large pedestal cake stand but I wanted a small one for everyday use on the counter. It doesn’t take up much room. I use it for brownies, cupcakes etc. It holds about 5 or 6 regular size cupcakes. It’s too small for most cakes except for a very small size cake. The wooden bottom is on the thinner side but works fine. I line it with parchment paper, a paper doily or a small plate. The dome is made well and has a good size knob which makes it easy to grasp it. Very glad I bought this 🙂

It felt thin right upon opening the box. We used it for about six months until the dome broke in my hands while cleaning it.
