Yes, it does come with instructions. You need to loosen the chain at the motor with a socket wrench, Drop the tube down from the front, removing the carter pin. Remove the old pulley and slide on the new one and re-attach the pole to the holder using the carter pin. Open the chain using the clip, pull through new pulley and re-attach chain. Place the chain on the gear and retightened the gear using the ratchet wrench.
