Life Affirming Techniques
This is awesome reading material. Part of my story lives in this book. My journey to good health was a true and tough journey. I have learned to feel my body when it speaks. I have learned to heal my body by listening to it. How I think has much to do with how my body will respond to different situations. To listen and feel is to be healthy in so many ways. To be able to breath deeply is life. It's the body's source to help to heal. So many live in stress and this is one book that can help you relieve stress by utilizing many of the techniques within. Thank you Patricia and Claire for sharing with the world techniques that not only change people but heal from the inside out. Wishing you both much success with this wonderful read. Camilla Ross

What powerful insights! Much better than any of the books on body language
"Strength, Flexibility, Resilience and Endurance." As a business owner, best-selling leadership author and long-time F500 consultant, I know these four traits are key to the character of an enduring leader. What I learned from this book is that these leadership character traits come from a place of physical intelligence. I can be stronger, more flexible, more resilient and have greater business endurance when I develop and bank on these same four traits of physical intelligence. Thanks for opening my eyes, Pat, to the both the chemistry & science of physical intelligence and also some very practical "life hacks" to improve my leadership influence and my life through connecting the dots between my physical well-being and my leadership effectiveness!

A great guide to enhance your life
This book is a superb guide to understanding oneself in totality. It shows how to encourage self-awareness and gentle control of one's body, feelings and relationships to improve self confidence in achieving one's primary goals. It stresses the importance of meditation for health through centering, paced breathing, and focusing on 'your I', where the essence of you resides. It demonstrates how we can habitually boost optimistic, positive feelings about ourselves so that we can be successful in ways that will benefit ourselves and those around us. In sum, I gained, and am gaining, an awareness of myself to improve my self-confidence from following the steps elucidated in this book.

Game Changer in Mental Health
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I often work with clients who are struggling with chronic anxiety, depression, relationship and family stress. Physical Intelligence is a game changer! It offers a number of easy, practical and useful exercises that make a huge difference in improving overall health. I've recommended several of the exercises to my clients who report feeling less anxious, depressed and better able to perform at work and communicate with loved ones. I highly recommend it! A useful book that is meant to be used.
My favorite part of Physical Intelligence is the early admonition to write in the margins, dog ear pages, and use the book as a tool. A lot of books give good advice on what to do next, you keep the idea in mind, and then go on with your job. But this book isn't meant to be read and put away, this book is meant to be read and re-read, used and re-used. This is not a book you read on a plane and leave in the seat back pocket. This is a book you have open on your desk, that you coffee stain, and that scribble notes in.It's also an easy book to apply to what you're doing next. For example, having read the book I find myself adjusting my posture at my desk, walking the halls and swinging my arms, and otherwise paying attention to how I am using my body in space to keep my mind engaged at my desk. One of the book's strengths is that it uses specific examples and draws on insights from working professionals. This is not an abstract set of principles - the authors provide usable tools that are useful day to day. This is a clearly written and good tool for anyone looking to get more out of their jobs, their lives, and themselves. I recommend it.

Extremely Insightful!
An extremely insightful and well written book that allows us to recognize the power of our bodies and the ability that we have to harness and leverage that power in a wide variety of circumstances. I was aware of some of the techniques highlighted in the book, but many were either done subconsciously or not at all. With the awareness and excellent examples and illustrations it allows the reader to take a more purposeful approach to leverage our Physical Intelligence. It was also eyeopening to realize how these techniques can be just as effective in business environments in addition to the arts and athletics. A great book for anyone who wants to reach peak performance!
