My granddaughter was very excited to use this
I purchased this for my granddaughter. My son and his family come from out of town and stay for two or three days. My granddaughter was so excited to use her new unicorn sleeping bag on her new cot. The cot was very nice And was perfect for her to sleep on

Sturdy and comes with a nice carry case
I really enjoy the color choices, easy set up and take down. Seems very sturdy so far. Enjoy the pocket on the side for storage. It's fits pretty easily back in carrying case.

Toddler and dog approved
Toddler has outgrown play pen but also cannot be trusted to not fall out of an adult bed, and most beds when traveling are full or queen so we can’t all fit in one bed together, so I got this for traveling. I debated on a cot vs a blow up mattress, and I decided on a cot so that I don’t have to worry about discovering an air leak once at our destination, and also this keeps the kid up off the ground so creepy crawlers won’t wander onto the bed. I also chose this over another one on the market because it has a little latch to lock it in place when set up, and my kid is the type to try and fold it up and get their fingers pinched. To me it looks like an uncomfortable cot. Toddlers don’t seem to care where they sleep. Mine tested it out immediately and fell asleep for a nap. I forgot to fold it up after, so my dog made herself at home on it too. When folded up it is about half the length of a play pen, a little smaller in width, about half the weight. Not sure if I’d take it with us on a flight (so much cargo to take for kids!), but it would be super easy to pack for a car trip.

Great travel cot
We bought this about 4 months ago in anticipation of our recent vacation. We don't have a pak n' play and I wasn't planning on ever purchasing one. Once the joovy arrived, I set it up in the living room every once in a while for the little miss to get used to it. She immediately knew what it was for (she is in daycare and they have nap time on crib mattresses on the floor), but never took a nap or slept on it even though she would lie on it. The first night of vacation she fell out of it three times (it is no more than 1 foot from the floor), the next night (new room) twice, and after that she didn't fall out of it again. Full disclosure - the first three nights we let her fall asleep on our bed before transferring her to the cot. I will say that we were in a room with two queen beds and after trial and error, I put the cot in the space between the two beds and used pillows to fill any gaps around the cot. Considering that my daughter still sleeps in a crib, I think she did a great job with the cot, getting used to it in just a few days. She was already familiar with the cot and loved it, but now I think she loves it even more since it is her own bed. She moves a lot when she sleeps, so having the cot wedged between the beds allowed her to move but still feel secure. She is 20 months old, 23lbs, 34". I can definitely recommend this cot for children who are already sleeping in converted cribs or toddler beds. If your child is still in a crib (like mine), then I would introduce it a few months before a big trip. I also love that it is super portable and compact. You could probably fit it in a large suitcase. It will last a long time and I am happy with this purchase.UPDATE: one year later and this is one purchase we all love. She loves sleeping on it and it makes overnight travel much easier; everyone gets a good night's sleep. I usually create a 'mattress'; with a folded blanket or quilt, covered by a crib sheet. Highly recommend!2018 UPDATE: Still love it, still use it. Have a second kid now and it will use it for him too. We did have a vomit accident on it - I took it into the bath and used the handheld shower and a scrubber to clean. Then left it open overnight and air dried it. Good as new. This cot is the best.

This cot is brilliant. I wish we could have kept it for travel.
I liked this cot so much that I had to write a review, even though we had to return it. We purchased this cot for our trip to Costa Rica. Like all Joovy products, this cot was sturdy and comfortable. My daughter was so excited that she wanted to sleep on it after we took the cot out of the box. The cot is lightweight and has a convenient carrying sheath. This would have easily fit into our suitcase. The reason for the return is that I did not read the not so small print. The cot was too short for my 99% height percentile 7 year old child. My daughter slept on the cot in our living room out of sheer will. She is 54 inches, so most of her body was on the floor. If you have a small child and need a great camping cot, this is a gem!

Lightweight, simple, functional cot that is perfect for traveling with young kids!
Our 2.5-year-old son has always slept in his crib and pack & play with no inclination to climb out, so we've not bothered converting to a big boy bed. But he isn't a little guy anymore and is getting too tall to sleep in the pack & play when we travel. He does nap on a mat at school but we were a bit weary about trying to put him into a bed with no sides in a place that hasn't been childproofed. That said, we ordered the Joovy Foocot ahead of a weekend trip to visit friends and relatives. It seemed ideal - lightweight, portable, comfortable, gets the child off the hotel floor, etc. It comes in a carrying pouch with zipper and strap to sling over your arm, and it is about the size of a camping chair. Very lightweight! It easily expands and is secured with a clip, and boom! You have a cot! It is very sturdy and doesn't tip when he sits on one end of the cot. We added a foam mat on top, a pillow and his blanket and it was perfect. He was interested in the cot from the very start! We told him it was a big boy bed and he laid down on it, got tucked in and with minimal shenanigans, he slept on it the whole night. The next day we folded it up and took it to my mom's house for nap time. We were skeptical that he would actually use it because we would be leaving the room and he would have the ability to protest nap and just follow us out. But no, once we got him settled he slept for an hour and a half on it. Again, no problems that evening. We are excited about this cot, how simple it is to transport/use and how comfortable he seems when he sleeps on it. Looking forward to using it on many more trips!

Works great
Works great for my 2.5 year old and would definitely fit bigger kids too. Folds up into the bag which takes up less than half of a standard suitcase.

Good travel cot
My 2 year old was not liking the playpen anymore so we opted to get the travel cot. Wow, what a world of difference. She took to it immediately and was well cushioned in so there was no worries about her falling out. She could still get out if she wanted to but it did take a bit of effort. It was super lightweight and folded so easily making it an ideal travel item. The best part is that you could put on the crib sheet and it fits decently. Definitely worth the purchase!
