This little gem of a book is incomparable - for explaining in the most simple terms the greatest mysteries of life, death and faith. Though written for children preparing for their First Holy Communion, it would serve adults just as well, to help clarify the core teachings of the Catholic Church.What cannot be explained in words is beautifully portrayed in picture. Published in 1963, the illustrations are the "technicolour" old-fashioned kind - that never really go out of date in the eyes of children. My children - aged from 6 to 15 - all love them.This book is a keepsake, a beautiful First Communion gift, a sound and simple reference,and an ideal teaching resource. Use alongside Parish First Communion Programmes.

I was hoping for a book that would somehow help with the preparation for first communion and it is a collection of poems. My children did not appreciate the format at all, neither did I. Sadly went in recycling the day it was delivered
