Old Town Sportsman PDL 120 Pedal Fishing Kayak

I'm in my 60s so the less paddling the better. This Kayak with it's pedal system is a game changer! Now I go way out to the middle of large lakes or across smaller lakes because of the pedal drive! Plus, I feel like I'm getting my daily exercise too. Also, there really is no need to throw in an anchor. I just hover around a hot spot and cast while moving! A few pounds heavier than my old Asend and does much better in wavy/windy conditions! Definitely worth the extra cost!

The Sportsman PDL 120 is one of the best peddle kayaks on the market. If you want a stable boat with a great hands-free drive option, you won't regret picking one up. There are a ton of reviews online for Old Town PDL kayaks, so I won't speak speak to product much. Just know that it lives up to the hype.Shipping was FAST. I ordered my kayak on a Wednesday with estimated delivery during the middle of the following week. Because of how close my home is to the seller, however, it ended up coming on the following Friday, so only two days after ordering. The kayak is shipped using a freight line (mine was Old Dominion). My kayak came on an 18 wheeler, so I had to meet the truck in a parking lot near my home for delivery. Make sure that you have what you need to transport your kayak before delivery in case they cannot bring it to your house! Once the kayak is at the final shipping destination, you should get a call from the freight company to set up the delivery.The kayak arrived in relatively good shape. The only reason I am giving the product 4 stars instead of 5 is because the kayak came with some minor gouges/scratches on the hull and one of the mounting tracks. The plastic shipping wrap on the kayak was undamaged, so I assume the damage happened at some point before the kayak was shipped to me. It was only cosmetic damage though, so not a huge deal in my opinion. I imagine that it is difficult to move a kayak through the supply chain without picking up a couple of bumps along the way. Very happy with my purchase overall! I recommend this kayak and seller if you are interested in getting an Old Town PDL.

This kayak is fun! Love my pedal drive and it’s easy to fish with it. My husband is a big guy, 6’5”, and he fits it just fine and it’s very stable. Lots of storage too!

Its been winter, so it hasn't been on the water yet! But come on! How could anyone watch a you tube video of this on the water and not want one. I'll write more o the mechanicals later
