Extremely quiet while in operation
Fan is easy to install great instructions and excellent build quality. In our case we installed in a shaded gable area exhausting from a cathedral ceiling so installation in a vertical orientation was necessary but fan is ultra quiet and does indeed switch seamlessly between solar and AC power. Tested this by covering solar panel and fan did not miss a beat.

It made a big difference
Prior to installing this fan on my garage roof, the temperature in the garage could reach 15 °F over the outside temperature on a hot day, 110 °F on a 95 °F day. On a windy day, with the garage door open a few inches it would still be 5 °F over the outside temperature. The fan was installed today and it is 95 °F outside and 94 °F in the garage. The fan is doing better than I expected.

Very easy install, quiet
I actually mounted this on the side of a minibarn instead of on top on the roof. Installation was super easy, Fan runs VERY quiet, seems to be doing the job I wanted so far. It would be nice if it had a guard of some kind going around it instead of being as open as it is, I ended up putting a piece of hardware cloth between it and the wall, and wrapped another piece around the outside to keep birds or rodents from going through it (or getting into the fan blades and damaging them). I wasn't quite sure it was running as strongly as advertised at first when running on a/c power, but during the hottest peak part of the day when the sun is hitting the solar panel best, I do think it reaches the advertised cfm rating. As long as it doesn't turn out to have a short lifespan, I'd purchase again.

Solar Roof Attic Exhaust Fan
I went into my attic and it is day and night from when it was hot enough that the alarm went off when I opened the attic stairs. It truly has made a significant difference.

Not sure this fan is powerful enough to make a difference.
Disappointed by the instructions that were included. Did not include a template cutting disk to ensure I cut to the correct size. Also include instructions to silicon seal the screws on the unit, which should have been waterproof at the manufacturing stage. Disappointed for the price I paid, but will wait to see if it makes a difference.

Doesn't Achieve Rated Airflow
Pros - Super Quiet, easy to installCons - Doesn't deliver anywhere even close to the rated airflow!I installed the fan and decided to measure the air volume being drawn from the attic because it just didn't seem right, I could only achieve 528cfm. I used an ISO17025 certified and calibrated anemometer and I must say I'm very disappointed in the performance. I thought that maybe I wasn't getting enough sun exposure, even though it's on a south facing roof at 3pm, so I waited until the evening and measured while plugged into the 120vac power supply. The air delivery only increased by 42cfm, for a total of 570cfm. This is FAR short of the rated 1750cfm! I would NOT recommend this fan for ventilating an attic, it simply doesn't draw enough air to do much good!
