Great Cookbook, Great Gift Idea!
I bought this cookbook for my grandchildren for their birthdays. I get tired of buying the same things for birthdays-board games, legos, etc. This gave me an opportunity to buy a unique gift that was totally unexpected. And the best thing is-they love it! It's adult friendly, as well. I bought one for myself also. The recipes are tasty enough to satisfy both children and adults, and simple enough to make quickly when time is short. I particularly love the Honey-Mustard Chicken recipe. Quick, easy, and soooo good! Since my grandchildren are young, seven and eleven, I like the fact that it gives ideas for beginner's learning their way around in the kitchen. I learned a few things myself! For example, it never occurred to me to use googles to prevent burning eyes when cutting onions! I knew my seven year old granddaughter would love the book because she loves helping her Mom in the kitchen. I wasn't so sure about my eleven year old grandson, but he's a fan as well! So happy about that because I think boys should learn to cook also. They have yet to prepare a whole meal for the family, but I expect that's coming! Highly recommend this cookbook!

Awesome purchase!
This is such a great value and beautifully done from cover to cover. The images throughout really draw you in and catch your attention making the recipes even more inviting to the kids. As soon as it came, the kids and I flipped through it with excitement. I really appreciate the extra tips, tricks, and safety information throughout. It is laid out thoughtfully and such a wonderful way to get the kids excited for learning important life skills. There are so many great recipes it was hard to decide where to start. As a parent I am also impressed and encouraged to see how well young kids can put together something well done. It takes a lot of the stress off of teaching the kids how and why to cook healthy food and the mental load of that skill and really allows us to enjoy our time in the kitchen together.

Must Have For People That Like Good Food
We love this book! As soon as it arrived, my kids were looking through to pick out all the recipes they were eager to make. The recipes we've tried so far are delicious. When we made tiramisu french toast for breakfast the other day, the kids said "that was so worth it!". I love how detailed the instructions are. So many cookbooks assume too much (not everyone has words like "saute" and "dice" as part of their everyday language, and "cook until done" is too vague if you've never made something before!) But this cookbook gives the details so that anyone can follow the instructions. And it is full of tasty, healthy food. I love knowing that my kids can make themselves snacks that I approve of. It has plenty of recipes that I won't mind using myself for family meals too. Yummy, kid friendly food that they can cook themselves. And if it is tasty, healthy and easy enough for the kids, I'll probably enjoy it too. Meal time just got way better. What's not to love?

Kids respond to Kid Cooks
My kids (13 and 11) have really enjoyed this book so far. It’s clearly written and has great recipes that the entire family can enjoy. My kids appreciate that it was written by kids and features healthy, whole food ingredients. They’ve made the blueberry oat bars and the chia pudding. I’m pleased to see them perusing the recipes, seeing what we have on hand, and asking me to pick up the rest. Looking forward to trying many more recipes!

Written for children, by children
Excellent book for kids. Written by kids, for kids. Great recipes and explains measurements, how to sharpen knives and what utensils you'll need for that recipe. There's many categories, even healthy popcycles. Check it out. This was a gift for my 12 yr old grandson, who wants to be a chef.

Cookbook for kids, written by kids
My 9 year old was really interested in it. I like that it was written for kids by kids. There are pictures and the recipes seem easy. We haven't made any recipes yet, but it looks promising.

Great tool for teaching kids to cook!
I bought this book for my 7 and 8 year old and they are super excited about it. We got it last week and they have already made a few recipes. My goal is that they learn to cook well enough that they can make some of our meals each week. This book will definitely help them achieve that goal. The meals are simple but delicious and mostly healthy. It will certainly help to teach important cooking skills to my kids. Not only will this help them as an adult but it will be a huge help to me as a homeschooling mother of 5!

The BEST cookbook for kids by kids!
I ordered this cookbook for my kids for Christmas as a way to get them more involved in the kitchen. For reference, my kids are 7 and 9. I figured if they had their own cookbook and were able to choose healthy and yummy recipes to make, it would be a fun bonding experience while building their confidence in the kitchen. And my plan has worked beautifully! My kids look forward to selecting recipes from the book, grocery shopping for the specific ingredients, and helping to make their own creations in the kitchen! It's been a fun experience for all of us, and we're making special memories in the process!Plus, I absolutely love that the authors are kids themselves. One of the values that I'm working to instill in my kids is the belief that they can do and be anything they want. To see kids just a little older than them become authors helps them to see that they can also become chefs or authors one day too! Thanks to the kids at Chef Junior for creating such a fun and healthy resource for my whole family!
