This is a thick and heavy socket built to be able to handle these cursed Toyota filter housings. Whether they are the plastic or metal versions, they can and will become super stuck and try to ruin your day. You need this to help make it a fair fight.FYI: This PBT-71117 is rebadged and sold for more under pro tool truck brands as the Matco TOY117 and the MAC PBT71117. The tool trucks aren't slapping their name on it, jacking up the price, and offering a lifetime warranty on it to guys who are beating the bejeezus out of it day and and day out without good reason. This is the real deal.

Great fit no slip

My most expensive filter tool
Good: made of solid steel and snug fit.Not so good: should have the slots to better distribute the torque. Most expensive filter removal tool I own! Hope it'll last 1 billion years! :-)

Zero issues. Matches the bluepoint version.
I work in a shop and have been through several cheap Toyota filter tools, this one was the solution. Was looking for a cheaper version of a co-workers bluepoint tool, and this seems to be exactly the same, half the price. The only difference is this one is shiny chrome and the bluepoint is more of a matte finish. Curious if PBT is the manufacturer behind the bluepoint tool, seems like the exact same item.
