Our newborn did not do well being placed in a port-a-crib initially which was making sleep while away from home complicated. We determined that this was at least in part due to needing to place the baby so far down away from the person holding. With this product, we could just kneel down and there would be only a short distance from our arms to the pad. The shade was also useful for blocking out extra noise/light.It folds up easily and has handles to carry with. It is an awkward shape and would not be good for airplane travel at all in my opinion, but worked fine in car trunk. We were able to use until 6-8 months old.If you are considering returning the product at all, DO NOT put the detached legs on it until you are sure. When we purchased they could not be removed once put on. So you could have a nightmare trying to find a box to fit it as it will not fit in the box it arrived in any longer.

I love this baby dome! I work outdoors and I bring my children with me. This dome has come in handy for when I need to set the baby down somewhere safe. We have been using it for the past 9 months. I can see my baby outgrowing this soon as she can pull herself to stand. The pad is very soft and easily cleanable. I like that the net can be closed to protect baby from bugs and the sun. My only complaint is that I wish it was just a little bit bigger. The compact size makes it easy to transport but a larger baby might feel cramped.

This was great for my little ones first beach trip. She’s 12 weeks old and fits nicely. She’ll fit for a few more months Atleast. It has nice padding so she was comfortable for her. It provided a little shade but we used a golf umbrella with upf 50 to make sure she was protected as this only provides upf 20. The legs are a bit stiff to fold in/out. I had to have my husband help set it up. I like the mesh along the sides, it provides nice airflow and I laid out right next to her and could see in. It’s not heavy but it does take a bit of space to pack. I didn’t think of that prior and for a large family with a small trunk space it was a tight squeeze with all our other essentials. But it was so nice for her to have a comfortable sand free shaded space that We will definitely make space to use it every weekend on our beach trips.

This has probably been one of the best “baby investments” we’ve made. I wish I had it when my older child was a baby. It’s so handy, sturdy, and easy to use. We took it on vacation recently and it was a lifesaver. I’ve also taken it to use at church events and other activities when I need to put down the baby periodically but don’t want to cart around the massive pack and play. My baby is currently about 3.5 months old and has so much more room to grow in this. My 6 year old also thinks it’s fun to get into it and close up the dome. He thinks it looks like the “Baby Yoda thing” 🤣. He’s actually napped in it a few times and tells me it’s comfortable, so that makes me think I’ll be able to use it for a while with my little babe!
