SE Professional Pocket-Sized Sluice Box with 3 Different Riffle Types for Gold Prospecting, Green, 3" x 12"

This little sluice should be great for a backpack prospecting trip. I haven't been able to use it that way just yet....it is flexible, lightweight, and appears durable. Also, it catches the gold. I did a test run with a known amount of gold at several different classification sizes. It recovered all the gold, tailings were clean. This sluice is small and you aren't going to run a large amount of dirt through it.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet. It is very light and very small. Possibly I'll be trying it with black sand and it looks like that may work well with this unit.

I got this just for fun. The nearest gold to us in Southeast Texas is in the jewelry store about a mile away.It was interesting to use in order to seen in practice what I’d seen done on TV on a much larger scale.Now it heads on to grandson to play with.

This sluice has no mat and no classifier, only ridges. It is short, and at one inch drop per foot, you can only angle it for one inch. Using this box will not allow you to process much at a time. Work will be slow, and you must be extra careful not to let gold wash away.

I have recovered gold that I have missed when panning. A constant flow of water from a small 12v pump wasall I had to ad.

Product itself look nice but the dimensions are not correct...Opening IS 5.5 inches but the body of the sluice is less then 2.5 inch's which isn't close to the 3 inches marked on the box and on the Amazon description... Which is a shame because I planned on using it as part of a 2 piece mini sluice and it's too narrow for what I had intended.

Can't wait to use it, it will fit perfectly into my packwith the rest of my equipment !
