I experienced the same issue with the Ethernet port on this device reported by others. The problem is not with the device! My issue was using the USB power supply that was provided with my Fire TV stick 4K Max. The provided supply was good enough for the Fire TV stick but is not adequate when adding the Ethernet/ USB hub plus a microsd card and a USB adapter for microsd. I replaced the provided USB power supply with the supply from my no longer used first generation Amazon Echo device. I now have ZERO issues.

I bought my first one and it works great on my Fire Stick. I was so impressed, I bought a second one for my other Fire Stick. Problem is, the second one I bought did not work. I sent it back for a replacement, and that one didn't work. So, II sent it back for another replacement and that one didn't work either.This item is perfect when it works, and I love the first one I bought.Problem with all the others I got was the internet/usb hub stops working intermittently right from the start. Then it goes from intermittently working to not at all after a couple weeks.

OTG cable worked OK, network adapter bad, firestick would not see wired network connection or USB device connected to network adapter. Connected UGREEN network adapter to OTG cable, wired network and connected USB device seen by firestick.
