Another excellent addition by Aqara and works with HomeKit
Easy to set up and add to Aqara app and Apple HomeKit. Have a couple of these now (under the kitchen sink, boiler cupboard, ensuite). Very cheap for the peace of mind they give.

Great addition to add for your smart home
I have been using the Aqara Water Leak Sensor for a few months now and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with its performance. This sensor is designed to detect water leaks and alert you immediately, which can help prevent costly water damage. The installation process was very easy, it comes with a double-sided adhesive tape which I used to stick it to the floor near any potential water leaks, such as under the sink, near the washing machine, etc. It also comes with a CR2450 battery that lasts for about two years. One of the things I appreciate the most about this sensor is its sensitivity, it can detect even the smallest amount of water and sends an alert to my smartphone through the Aqara app. I have set it up to send notifications to my phone and it has worked flawlessly, I have received alerts even when the water leak was very small.I also like that it is compatible with other smart home devices, such as my smart plugs, and I can set up automations to turn off the water supply when it detects a leak. This feature gives me peace of mind knowing that even if I am not home, my smart devices will act on it.Overall, I think the Aqara Water Leak Sensor is an excellent investment for anyone looking to prevent water damage in their home. It is easy to install, extremely sensitive, and can be integrated with other smart home devices. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable water leak sensor.

Home Assistant Bed presence sensor!
I purchased this to make a bed presence sensor using it along with a pressure sensor mat. This was very easy to setup and incorporate within Home Assistant. It was just a case of wiring two wires from the mat to the screws on the bottom of this sensor and the sensor was detected within HA without using an Aqara Hub - it's a Zigbee device and I have a Zigbee dongle so had no additional hub required. Once added in HA, I configured it as an on/off switch rather than a water sensor. There's a few readily available guides for setting it up this way.I've been using it for a couple of months now without any problem at all, it's super reliable and also the battery is still at 77%.I've no idea how well this works as a water/leak sensor but for my use case it's great and anyone else wanting to try setting it up as a bed presence sensor in HA and be able to create automations based on whether your in bed or not, it's great - recommended.

Reassuring water leak detector
I got a couple of these to go under sinks after a recent water leak. They're nice and small and will sit discreetly at the back of a cupboard. The information suggests pairing with an aqara hub, but as they're zigbee devices, they also pair with my sonoff zigbee dongle plus. Using ZHA they expose moisture (wet or dry), device temp (as expected, this runs hotter than ambient temperature) , firmware and battery. The battery showed 84% immediately, then rapidly 73% - this is something I've noticed with some of my other aqara zigbee devices, although the battery then seems to stay very stable at that level for a long time. The first time I tried to pair the device was unsuccessful. A 5 second press of the reset button didn't seem to make if visible to my zigbee network. The second time, I bought it close to my zigbee dongle, and held the reset button until the blue light flashed, and continued to hold the button until it paired with ZHA - this took approximately 20 seconds. In a crude test I poured about 10 ml of water next to the device and let it trickly underneath - it took about a minute, but then triggered my leak detection automation. I think it took some time for the water to spread and get in contact with the 2 sensors which are underneath the device. When I remove it from the water, it immediately records dry. When I placed it back in the small 10ml pool of water on the surface, it immediately recorded wet again.I'm pretty happy that this will rapidly detect a fairly small leak.
