Nice quality piece
We purchased the item for our living room, where we hung our older LCD (46") on the wall about 6 months ago replacing our previous media tower (see photos with TV on the wall). Ever since our components were on the floor collecting dust. I wanted a unit that would suit the room size, was black, not chinzy plastic and was sturdy with glass doors for the components (so I can put child locks on the doors)Packaging/DeliveryThe item arrived as expected in a box that had some small dings, but overall was in good shape. Upon opening it I was nicely surprised. Every piece was wrapped and fitted tightly in the box with foam. All along the edges was particle board to reinforce the box which was impressive. Other that than some minor (very minor) scratched on the rear panels (which I'll never see) the pieces were all in good shape. The hardward literally have 1 extra piece for every size which was very nice to see (and shows either they can't count, or more likely that they wanted to make sure if you lost one there was an extra)AssemblyThis takes a while. I don't have a low-voltage screwdriver so did it by hand (which I recommend anyhow - too easy to strip screws or scratch surfaces elsewise). A single screw driver works (Philips head - the diamond) although if you only have a large one you'll need a small "eye glass" sized one for the screws needed to hold the glass in place. My screw driver was a medium sized one and it was able to assemble the whole thing. Interestingly enough they give you a tube of what looked like wood glue but I didn't see any directions to apply it (perhaps I missed it). Still with 20+ locking nuts I can't see the need for glue unless you are planning on carrying it around constantly. There is a LOT of screws. I bet there is closer to 50 of them! Be prepared for a sore hand when it is over. I believe one person can assembly this on their own. My wife helped brace things for me, but overall it was pretty easy to assemble (just long). The hinges are nice European hinges with dual adjustments which means you get to fiddle for an hour to get the doors level etc.Hints/TricksFor the shelves insert two plugs, put the shelf in and then add the plugs to the far side. The locking bolts are in a plastic collar. This means they can be shifted "slightly". So rather than bang the top on, adjust any bolt (by bending ever so slightly) so that it fits cleanly. Put the knobs on the doors before you add them to the hinges. If you close the door without a knob, have fun opening it! Finally take your time. It didn't take me 8 hours, but I think I spent 2+ hours assembling and likely 45+ minutes adjusting hinges (it is like car seats - trying to get the sweet spot if lots of micro adjustments)CommentsThe depth is sufficient for my Blu-ray player, WD TV Live (which is small) and a DirectTV HD-DVR. With the DVR there was only about 1/2" depth play accounting for the cables (which can only bend so much if using a hi-quality HDMI cable. The European hinges are adjustable which is good, but adjusting them is a pain. Since the brackets can slide getting the vertical position just right was rather tricky to get tight. There is only one shelf in the glass door section. This is probably ok for most people, although given that most electronics are now low/thin (unlike old VCRs), two shelves would have been nice. The biggest drawback is the front doors go to the bottom shelf (the bottom is not raised) - this means the glass only starts ~ 1.5" from the bottom and if you have any components on the bottom they will not receive IR signals unless you raise them. I used a small baking grill rack to raise the DVR up 1" (I suppose this would allow airflow underneath too (so not a bad thing given the heat of this device) and put it on a tea towel. All of my plugs, conduit outputs, RJ-45 jacks and cable jacks are now hidden. For those who commented on cheap materials..... This is much beter than anything you'd find at a big box store and I would argue most big furniture retail. Is it as nice as an all wood solid oak stained cabinet (like a dresser or bed)? No. It is a TV Cabinet. Will it fit in with other black painted / lacquered items? Yes. Exactly what I am looking for and would fit in well for most environs.Would recommend this to others and will look to purchase a coffee table/end table from them in the future.

Sturdy TV Stand
It’s perfect for the corner of my tv slot! I’ve been searching for something decent and temporary before moving and I needed something with storage because I have little babies and a toddler. Which I also needed to put the internet box and other wires out of the way the extra storage is a plus for their toys I can hide the storages are a good size.

Works for me
I am very pleased with this TV stand. I was worried there may be damage as it shipped from the West coast and Im on the East cost. Took 6 days and had several stops along the way. The box did have some light damage but the stand was well packed inside and all was in good condition. Thank you Fed-ex. The only advice I can give on assembly is to take your time and study the pictures carefully to make sure hardware is going in the right holes. Dont use power tools as the hardware wont take it. Screws may get stripped or broken. I did everything with a handheld manual phillips screwdriver. I had to make a few adjustments to the doors to get them lined up to my liking. I have a receiver - cable box and blu ray player in there and the remotes work just fine through the glass. I have a 55" TV on it in picture but wouldnt hesitate putting a 65" TV on there as it would only over hang about 2" on each side. I am glad it worked out as this was about as big as I could go for a stand. Finished product is very sturdy and Im glad i took a chance on it.

Some quality issues, labor intensive assembly. Design could be more practical.
Finished product looks nice. Pictures are very representative. Our main issues were related to the delivery and minor quality issues. The delivery guy dropped the package at the garage and left without ringing the bell, so the box was wet by the time I got home. Also, the box was fairly severely damaged at mid point along the side. It's a credit to the manufacturer's packaging that none of the glass was broken, but the main top panel - the most visible surface of the whole pieces was badly bruised and chipped right in the middle of the front edge.As noted, packaging was very good, including particle board placed at the ends of the box to protect against damage. The instructions were clear and useful. The hardware was well packaged and there were extra pieces for all critical items (dowels, cam bolts and nuts especially). The quality of the hardware was not impeccable - I had to discard some of the cam nuts as they were poorly machined - but as noted, there were spares.Product finish is good. The veneer is very nice and quite thick. The back paneling is critical for stability and is well designed with overlapping leaves that make assembly easy. The quality of these pieces was the main complaint - panel 12 was either drilled incorrectly, or the edge was mirror reversed - the wholes did not line up with the shelf they needed to be screwed to.Assembly took almost three hours, with the most time spent removing dust and styrofoam from the parts and the many wooden dowels and glue. Assembly of the carcass definitely takes two people. A couple more cam bolt and screws to assemble the middle carcass as one unit that can be lifted by one person without falling apart would be a major design improvement. The design is well proportioned for normal electronic consoles and DVDs. However, either back panel 12 was not machined properly, or there was no cable cut-out for the lower middle shelf, which makes the unit less useful (the picture indicates electronics behind the glass, which is not practical with the back panels we received). The side cupboards have no cable management cut-outs. I would recommend adding cut-outs in every panel as well as a channel down the back of each side shelf. This would allow storing devices like tables, headphones, docks, etc. in here also; greatly improving the practical value.Overall good value for money. Given the time to assemble, consider buying local if you can find similar price.
