Healthy Liquid Liner Option
As far as health conscious buyers go, this is the best liquid liner product I've used. If you are concerned about the nasty chemicals that are in most products like Almay or Maybelline, go for this product instead. I wear liquid liner every day and have for years and don't go out the door without it. The cheaper stuff, like Maybelline does does a better job of staying on longer and breaking up less, but the chemicals in it aren't worth it for me when this is a good alternative. It smells cleaner and I like the applicator. I have to apply, wait to dry, then touch up around the eye a second time. Goes on smoothly. Cons are it isn't waterproof, it will smudge when it gets wet. Also, it flakes (eventually). So if you don't remove your makeup at night you will have little dry flakes.Overall, it lasts most of the day for me, which I love. I live in a desert and don't have to worry about rain/humidity.Please refer to EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetic Database for more information on contents in your liners.

Great Results for Toxin-free Eyeliner!
I am *very* picky about liquid eyeliner. I have tried pretty much every liquid eyeliner at Sephora, and always been disappointed. I have sworn my allegiance to Almay - that is, until I learned from EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetic Database how toxic Almay is! So I tried the Jane Iredale. I think it is particularly important for liquid eyeliner to be free of toxins, since eyeliner gets into your tear ducts (and sometimes even makes its way through your sinuses to your tissue...). So needless to say, after trying just about every eyeliner there is, I did not have high expectations for a toxin-free product. I will say that it is a *little* transparent, but it has a great applicator brush that works perfectly with the very thin liquid consistency. You can get super precise application, and with a few strokes get a very dark line with good coverage. It holds up well - it lasts all day and night, but if you don't wash it off after a night clubbing and crashing on your friend's couch, it is pretty patchy the next morning. It is not Almay, but it is as close as I've ever seen in another product, and it scores a 1 on the scale of 0-10 for toxins. I am very happy with it, and think it is worth the price.

Product leaked black eyeliner all over
Packaging was damaged, eyeliner leaked. It cost $30.00 and showed up looking like garbage and is not returnable.

Great Natural Eyeliner.
Great eyeliner. I was looking for an alternative to heavy black eyeliners and read an article that said this is Emma Watson's go-to eyeliner. It may not be super pigmented for the first application, but it dries fast, so i just add another layer if i want a bold look. This is a great go-to everyday eyeliner. I am prone to sensitivity and this caused no burning. This is a nice alternative to other eyeliners with lots of chemical and possibly unsafe additives. This eyeliner is not waterproof, but it is good at staying. At the end of the day it is easily removed with soap and warm water. I would absolutely buy this again.

Best Combo of Packaging/Natural Formula
I was previously using Tarte liquid liner, which comes in a marker type packaging. I usually do a thick line/cat eye type look and found that the marker would dry out before I was done perfecting both eyes, they also seemed to generally dry out pretty quickly. Years ago I used a pot type liquid liner, so I searched for a natural formula in this packaging (doesn't dry out since you can just re-dip).The main drawback for this product is that the liquid is pretty thin. So I have found a couple things useful.1. Shake the container before using (I read this on their site I think).2. Apply multiple coats as it dries. If you draw over a wet portion, it will basically wipe some of that away. What I do is start a first stroke/line on one eye, then move to the other, and back and forth as they dry to build the color up.I can deal with these drawbacks to have the natural product + convenience of the dip-able container/packaging.** Update: I purchased this 8 months ago and it just now seems to be running low (and I use it almost every day). VERY good value as past liquid liners would dry out much faster, still love the pot/brush packaging best. Purchasing my second one now!** 2nd Update: I'm still using this liner 2 years later. I updated my rating from 4 to 5 stars because the more I use it (and try using other liners) the more I find how superior it is (for a natural liner). Remember to shake it up and build color up as it dries. I think I've also become an expert with the brush, I like it a lot.

Good product
I have been using this eyeliner for many years. I tried many other liquid eyeliners but I find this one to be the only one that is very easy to apply. I did notice though that the composition might have been changed in the ladt year or so and the product is much more sheer. Where in the earlier version one stroke would be sufficient, it now requires a couple of strokes to get the same effect. Nevertheless, it's a good product and it does not irritate or smudge.

Excellent Score by EWG.org!
For the past 40 years, every single day, I've been using liquid eyeliner Lancome (now it's renamed Artliner). Recently, I decided to use an eyeliner that is minimally-toxic, as rated by the Environmental Working Group (EWG.org). Jane Iredale's eyeliner has an excellent score of "1" which means it is Low Hazard--compared to some other eyeliners which can be Moderate to High Hazard. Jane Iredale's Eyeliner gives a great thin line, but if you like a wider, thicker line, then as a previous reviewer [Shannon] mentioned, you just go back & forth on each eye to get a darker & thicker line. Now on special, one day occasions, like a wedding, I will go back to my Lancome Artliner. But for everyday wear, I love the Jane Iredale! The little bit of extra time it takes to apply this eyeliner is well worth it to me. It just feels good that I'm not subjecting my body to more toxic chemicals in the my eyeliner!

Excellent
I suffer from Blepharitis and have tried umpteen liquid eyeliners but haven't found one that stops my eyes flaring up until I bought this. It scores highly on the scale of natural ingredients and for the first time in 4 years, I was able to wear eyeliner without my eyelids burning. Plus the colour is a deep black that lasts all day. Great texture, great brush, great product.

Great Product
So good. I’m allergic to almost all liquid eyeliner and this doesn’t bother me at all. Lasts all day without flaking off. Brush handle makes it really easy to use.

Fantastic
This eyeliner is great. Apart from the fact that it doesn't have any horrible chemicals in it, it actually stays on my eyes better than my previous chemical ridden ones - I'm completely surprised by this as I thought I was going to have to put up with some smudging or running in order to be kinder to my eyes, but amazingly it stays where I've put it. Very pleased, but I've only been using it for 5 days, so not sure how long it will last yet - a long time I hope for the price.
