Seems real decent
I unboxed it and put it together and gave it a few test shots in the living room.. seems great! Segments were nice and straight and made from some sturdy aluminum, threads were good, and the elastic band is high quality, sturdy stuff, you can tell it’s not cheapo surgical tubing or similar, it’s like the elastic they used on heavy duty slingshots like the BigShot..I got a little carried away and ended up putting a hole in the drywall with it lol.. it’s definitely got some great reach on it and I can’t wait to go try it out on some fish. Overall I’d say it’s a great value for the price, and easy to use. At first I thought I’d need a longer polespear but with the tip on it thing is almost 7ft long, and you get a lot of reach out if it.

Great pole, not so great tip!
The pole spear is great, but the tip could be better. Tip began bending with first use, and got worse with subsequent use. Ordering a better tip and expect many great adventures with this.

Recommend this pole for the $ but change the tip.
This thing is solid. For under $50 definitely would recommend. The prong tip will not last. Fish escaped and broke after a few uses. Upgrade to a slip tip or flopper immediately and you will be very happy. The pole is a bit heavy but will last a long time, but don’t count on the 3 prong find a 6mm tip that is compatible and go get em!

Does NOT come with a carrying bag, quality control is questionable, but seems sturdy.
Came in a plastic clam shell package. It seemed like sufficient protection, but all three sections are slightly bent. That tells me it came from the factory that way. I don't think it's a deal breaker, because I can bend them back, but it's disappointing. The elastic and prong head are both fine. The weight is heavier than I imagined, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I want a bit more weight in a handheld spear. Feels nice and sturdy. I'm looking forward to trying it out.So why the 1 star? Because there is no "carrying bag included" which is in the product description.I'm tired of companies being inaccurate with their descriptions--they're lazy at best, fraudulent at worst. If something is not included, then don't sell it as such.On the other hand, if they want to send me the promised "carrying bag" or give me $10 towards one, I'll be happy to upgrade this rating.

Does not ship with care
I would not recommend for a beginner. I’ve purchased three of these spears (two on this specific account) and all three have have had severe bends on two if not all three pieces of the spear. Some bends almost reaching a 45 degree angle from the threading. If I hadn’t picked up metal working as a hobby I surely would have ruined these poles trying to “slightly heat and bend back into place” like the Q/A section here tells you. For me the over $150 and labor that went into the poles just seems a little far off the grab and go spears i invested in. That aside, after the “adjustments” it’s a good spear. I use it for river and lake diving, and have pulled out some sizable fish. Including an 18lb catfish, and 33lb striped bass (different spear head used for the bass). The original head is still in shape with no bend even after a few shots in to some rocks.

Great for the price
Great for the price. Has a very powerful band, it is a little on the heavier side but also very durable compared to the lighter fiberglass models. Shot it against rocks and reefs time and time again and nothing but a couple little scratches. Paired it with a JBL slip tip and it worked like a $300 spear. Overall would highly recommend for entry level spear-fishers looking to get a setup for cheap.

Caution
If your spearing around coral, two things: 1) do NOT hit the coral (which is almost impossible to do, fish live there and hide there), prongs bend VERY easily under the velocity of the sling. Or don’t miss I guess. 2) buy a replacement tip and keep it with you AND a pair of channel locks to bend the prongs back straight again... with much difficulty. You’re going to need both. Recommendation: get a heavier gauge spear tip to replace this one. The shaft is ok, but will bend without care, the tip is junk unless there are no rocks or coral in your hunting area. (Does this exist?). For the money though, it’ll get you started
