Good purchase. I’d give it 4.99 stars (why in the description)
Read full description for explanations.=>Pros:-Powerful and fast (booting, game loadings, etc)-Audio-Screen=>Cons:-Edge of the laptop might bother your wrist skin while typing for too long-Might get too hot for lap use (assuming it’s right on top of your pants)A strong and powerful machine. So far I’ve played AC Odyssey/Origins/Syndicate, SW: Jedi Fallen Order, Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite, The Witcher 3, No Man’s Sky, Ryse Son of Rome and many other in the top graphic settings. Never had any issue. There’re many preset for fan and cpu/gpu power. The auto settings for the fan will make it really quiet (the outside metal might feel a bit hot, but totally standable... it means the heat is going out of the inside). Turbo mode will make it really cool, but with the price of the noise (you won’t notice with headphones. Audio is good. Booting time is awesome (even with my SSD full it won’t take even 10s to reach Windows 10 login screen). Screen is cristal clear (came with a 120% screen ratio configuration, changable in MSI config panel). Keyboard light brightness can be changed (4 levels, 0 to full), but color is always red. Touchpad is weird for me, but it isn’t bad. It’s really thing and light for it’s configurations. The power button is a bit hard to press, and in the first time I thought it was out of battery, but actually I didn’t press hard enough. Webcam will be automatically shutdown all time, unless you turn it on using Fn+keyboard button (which I don’t remember which one it is at the moment), I checked the Device Manager and it’s really like it’s not connected at all. The power input is at the left side, by the middle of the keyboard. Bluetooth works nicely with Xbox One Controller. The reason I’d give 4.99: while typing, the edge next to you might slightly bother you skin (since I’m using it mostly for gaming with a controller and I use a wireless keyboard when I need to type, doesn’t affect me, and it gets a bit too hot for lap use sometimes while gaming.Really good product, I’d totally recommend it.Friendly reminder: it’s got around 500GB, so you might get around 8-10 of newest games installed, since they take around 40-60GB these days.

Gamer? Get it.
Definitely the most powerful and slickest machine I've ever had. Comes with a lot of features thanks to it being an MSI, plus with Nvidia software. In my first few months of having it, I've had little to no complaints at all regarding the software, however a few things should be noted about its build; As is on par with monster gaming pc's like these, it can get VERY HOT, so much so that wasd keys can become painful to the touch, if you're somebody that games for long periods, definitely invest in a cooling pad, it will do you a lot of favors. But the heat is at no fault to the computer, that's just what happens when you want so much in such a small build. Another think worth mentioning, which is a common theme among other reviews of this build, depending on where your arms are when typing, the edges of the laptop may be a bit sharp for your taste, however adjusting the way you use it can fix that... just keep that in mind.I don't have much to compare to, but I would say it is worth the price if you love gaming on the go. Pair this puppy with a case, mouse, and a cooling pad, and this baby can take you places. Great build, great performance, great computer. I'm now a big fan of MSI because of this.

Best Mid Tier Laptop for the Money
I was going to go more budget friendlywhen purchasing a laptop but the more I researched, the more I realized how important it is to have good specs right off the back. The specs on this thing can run most games on ultra settings. I bought a cooling pad to go with it because it does run hot.Don’t think you can play with this on a plane ride because the battery on this thing doesn’t last long when you’re playing games;2 hours tops.I also recommend investing in a quality keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Throw in an elite series 2 controller if you can and you have the ultimate setup for years to come and you can bring it with you anywhere! Forgot to mention the screen on the laptop itself is pretty legit on its own.My only critique is that there aren’t enough ports at just 2 USB, and 2 USB-C. It also lacks a display port. Oh and the trackpad is awful, you need a mouse; although I think they new gamers will already have a mouse for playing games anyways so it doesn’t really bother me.Highly recommend this laptop! 5 out of 5

Loud but unbeatable value
Out of the box its beautiful. Much more slim and sleek than previous versions and overall just a lot more streamlined. The display is just absolutely spectacular. The value for what you get it great. For 1k its kind of unbeatable. But that doesn't come without problems, (cons below)Pros:Gtx 1660ti and 9750h play any modern game maxed out and will always be above 60FPS in my tests. The ssd bootup speed is phenomenalThe built in utilities help optimize performanceThe new Intel wifi chip allows for 50MBPS steam downloads. Repeat, STEAM DOWNLOADSConsKeyboard takes a bit to get used to as every key seems slightly out of place like they were trying to pack the caps in as tightly as possibleTHIS THING OVERHEATS IF YOU DONT USE COOLER BOOSTER, I was hitting 97C while playing battlefront 2 on only medium and after contacting msi support they only said to turn on cooler booster. Which yes it absolutely solved the problem but I shouldn't have to blast my fans at PS4 decibels just to play a game. But a good pair of headphones blocks all that out.Just be ready for it being semi loud if you plan on doing intensive tasks or gaming. But for the value I can completely overlook it.My only other complaint is the fact that the SSD is so minimal in space. There's no way you can go without getting an external drive.
