Bananagrams!: The Official Book

I bought this book for my Dad, after introducing him to Bananagrams. He loves the game (and usually completely eclipses me at it!) and quickly began making up his own games using the very versatile playing pieces.I though this book would open up a whole world of other creative possibilities in the Bananagrams universe. I was somewhat wrong, but the result was good nonetheless.This book is actually just a collection of puzzles and brain-teasers which test even the most literate. They are very fun and definitely give a good extra dimension to the game - or give you something to do when you don't have others to play with. You don't NEED the Bananagrams tiles, but having them will probably help.The annoying thing is that the book seems to consistently require the knowledge of American spellings and American slang. This can be somewhat frustrating. If there was a UK version - I'm sure it would be far more entertaining. As there is not - this will have to do.All in all, a good adult puzzle book.

A great little puzzle book based on the great game of Bananagram. We first bought Bananagram, the game, a couple of years ago and most of the people we have introduced it to have gone away and bought their own. We now buy copies of this book as gifts for them to practise their skills. It has a variety of puzzles all testing word skills and offers a mix of ability levels to accommodate all ages. It is easy to dip in and out of this book. It has accompanied us on car and rail journeys and also spent time on our coffee table for anyone to have a go at.

A work colleague took this on a training trip and I was sold as everyone enjoyed playing it. At home the game is in a fun banana bag in the fruit bowl on the dining table. Any one who sits to eat can suggest to play. My mum has Alzheimer's and I have teenage children and we can all play together.

Excellent little book that accompanies the orginal game very well. This book provides you to play different word games to play using your Bananagrams set. The games are leveled and are simular to those word games you see in the sunday papers. You could never imagine this amount of games on your own and although they are set out to play on your own, your could use these as a challenge; complete the most, timed etc. Great little extra and for me a must have!

This is a great little book that contains lists of permitted words to use in banagrams (the really obscure ones!) and contains lots of puzzles that could be done solo when the set of tiles is not easy to use (on a plane or ferry ride, for example). I would take it with me on any holiday or long journey. Every Banagrams household should have one.Puzzles are ranked in order of difficulty from one to three bananas, and there are several types of puzzle, so no need to get bored! There are lots of weird facts about bananas scattered through the book, too, which one of my friends really appreciated.
