KAL Red Yeast Rice COQ10 Omega 3, 60 Count

I'm not really a fan of pills and supplements, and the only meds I take are vitamins and BP meds. But when my doctor told me my cholesterol was 223, I thought it was time for a change. So I researched red yeast rice and decided to try it. My cholesterol level went down to 160 in 3 months. My liver enzymes were slightly elevated previously and are now normal. So for me, it didn't affect my liver like some statins can. This is an awesome product. The only downside is that the pills are HUGE but soft.

I have hereditary high cholesterol. I eat well, exercise, but my cholesterol would not come down. Tried Cholest-Off, Fish-oil, fiber, all with so-so results. One month of this product, and my cholesterol is back under 200! Can't wait to see as I continue. I do also take 1300 mg of fish oil with this at night.

This stuff works, it dropped my cholesterol over 50 points. However, since it's not regulated by the FDA and it's a lot more expensive to buy, I went with my doctor's recommendation for a presciption, 10 mg of Lipitor. $18 for 90 days. Much better than $30 for 30 days, and it's regulated.

A year ago I had my blood tested at a local health fair. They called me immediately and said my count was at 543 and should be below 120 and that I should call my doctor immediately. I had heard about red yeast rice on a recent tv doctor show, so decided to use that instead of a statin drug. Along with some diet changes -- nothing drastic, just necessary changes, like chocolate milk that looked more like chocolate syrup with a little bit of milk in it -- my cholesterol dropped to 220 at this year's health fair! Still have to keep going, but WOW! This definitely worked for me.

I use this product for lowering my triglycerides and heart health. My triglycerides were high and my doctor recommended I take this. My triglycerides dropped 200 points! It's easy to swallow and easy for me to remember.

I take this product to lower cholesterol. It seems to do the job as I do not take any medication. Nice to have the other additions. Amazon has a really good price on this item. I have checked elsewhere.

I've used this product for several years. It works well and there are no ill effects.

I'm not sure what is wrong with this particular bottle of soft gels but the minute I opened the bottle there was this awful fishy smell. I know it's the CoQ-10 but I've bought this product from this company many times before and I wasn't able to smell this yucky smell. I'm hoping there is nothing wrong with them...not sure if I should even be taking them!
