Nintendo 3DS XL - Black [Old Model] (Renewed)

Works great. Looks brand new. Came with the charging cable and had the stylus too.

I usually don’t write reviews but for me this was a Japanese model 3DS that has been modified to be used within the US. For those who don’t know the Nintendo 3DS in Japan is called the LL (Large Large) and not XL (Extra Large in the US). Japanese 3DS LL are region locked to only play Japanese versions of games. In this case this one was modded to allow it to play using US versions, tricking the system to think it was in a US region. This was not mentioned in the description or at all in the buying process. There’s no SD card (you’ll have to buy one and format it), terrible 3rd party charger (that doesn’t fit fully into the 3DS), modding software installed in the system, and crashes at random times while using. This caused me to do some research to find out the issues this device had for me. Hopefully this is just a one time problem for me and not anyone else. This system itself in is good condition but had a ton of internal issues because it wasn’t an XL. Good luck and be cautious with this one.

Was worried by other reviews so I reached out to the seller and they reassured me I would receive a true North American XL and not LL. I got a near mint one! It works flawlessly and had no scratches whatsoever! This really seems like a brand new unit complete with stylus and SD card. Won’t hesitate to purchase from them again.

I never write reviews, but this one deserves it. I saw the 1 star reviews and was timid on buying but I did it anyways and the product was in perfect condition. Not a single scratch or dent anywhere on the console. It started right up and feels brand new. Definitely recommend.

I was hesitant on purchasing this product at first, given I could receive a 3ds that is faulty or pretty scuffed up, but I was pleasantly wrong. I purchased my refurbished 3ds xl 2012 from Cavegamers and it came really quickly, I even had a question that they kindly awnsered in one day, (asking if this 3ds was a united States console, it is btw). The 3ds I received could've easily passed as brand new, the condition of the product was just amazing. The only like was a tiny hairline crack on the base that I couldn't see without a flashlight on it. The screen was perfect, no scratches or anything, absolutely satisfied with my purchase. I will note there is no sd card with it but I didn't mind given I was going to replace it with a bigger gb anyways, they did include a charger. I highly recommend this seller for refurbished goods.

The media could not be loaded. The device was UNUSABLE. First red flag was how there was a rattle from the inside when I removed it from its box. Then when I tried to boot it up, it took ages to turn on. After waiting, and the system finally responded to being turned On, NONE ON THE BUTTONS WORKES. Not the volume, the touchpad, the circle pad…NOTHING. I tried to return and get a refund, but Amazon would not allow me due to the product containing a lithium battery. After dealing with their customer service system for what seemed like forever, Amazon granted me a return but with NO REFUND. I expected more from a A to Z seller, and I expected a whole lot more from Amazon. I had read a few similar horror stories in the reviews, but the positive reviews outweighed the negative ones. DON’T GAMBLE AWAY 300+ like I did for a plastic paperweight. Trying to reach the seller was impossible.

I was stoked to receive this 3DS XL. Opening the package and seeing what looked like a brand new 3DS was nostalgic of when I was a child and receiving a DS for Christmas. The system was sturdy and looked as though it was never used, rummaging through my tote of old DS games I've held on since forever I found my copy of Pokemon SoulSilver. Upon starting the game and trying to load my save file I encountered a "Communication Error". Tried every possible troubleshoot I could. Power cycled, turning on and off wifi, etc. Nothing was working. I came across an old thread from years ago stating that either my game was faulty or the 3DS was faulty. Thankfully I was able to use an DSi and my partners 3DS and the game booted perfectly. No, "Communication Error" after numerous attempts on other consoles which solidified that the 3DS I purchased was faulty. Only owned it for 2 days and just dropped it off for return. Be on the lookout when purchasing this product and ensure that all of your games work as intended.

I bought this console for my 10 year old son as a Christmas present, and I must say that it is absolutely gorgeous. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It works well, very happy with my purchase. I am sure my son will love it, I recommend it 100%. Thank you so much!
