very good quality, beautiful item

I chose this swim vest based on sizing for my son. He just turned 3, but is the same size or bigger than many 4yo kids. He wears a 4T shirt and weighs almost 40lbs. He has been wearing a puddle jumper in the pool and is a confident swimmer if wearing a floatation device. I don't like how he doesn't move his arms in the puddle jumper though. He is showing interest in swimming independently and we started swim lessons last week, so I thought this would be a good transition with how you can remove pieces of foam as he becomes a better swimmer. He's only used it once so far, but likes it and has asked for it rather than the puddle jumper. Do know that this is not a standard life vest, it is a learn-to-swim vest, and the child needs to be supervised completely while wearing it. It doesn't have as much buoyancy as a puddle jumper and his mouth was closer to the water than it would be in the puddle jumper. I think this is a great tool if your child is learning to swim. Comfortable and well-made.

My daughter absolutely loved this life vest, she started swimming by herself and she in almost 2! Totally worth it!!!!!! 🤗

Product is very badly finished, broke the security strap on first use. No quality control whatsoever. Very disappointed as returning it will cost almost as much as brand new product. Will have to fix it to reuse it. Watch out for the badly sewn strap as it can be dangerous if child breaks it and comes loose from floating device.

I bought this swim vest in June 2020. My son has worn it a handful of times and it has already started to rip apart.
