It's not a top quality lens but it is still very good and capable for the price. Solid metal construction and a very nice feel on the aperture and manual focus rings. Zero slop. With its fast 1.4 F stop, it delivers on everything you are looking for in this type of lens... great light gathering capability for night shots, creamy bokeh effects, beautiful portraits, near "normal" focal length (not a macro and not a zoom lens). Everything except for automatic focus, which I don't miss much given the huge cost savings over the equivalent Canon lens with AF. This is a terrific cost friendly first lens for beginners to buy to explore photography beyond the capabilities of the Canon kit lens.

Love the Lens. I own the Canon M50 and note the Lens is Manual Focus and also before you use it you need to change your shutter settings to fire without lens. There is a comment in this thread that tells you exactly how to do it so don't let the negative comments sway you from getting this if you own the m50. this is a good working lens for the money you pay.

This lens lacks the contact points that would allow my Canon EOS M2 to recognize the device. Ergo it doesn't function & I would like to have this defective lens replaced by a functioning component ASAP please.

For the price, this lens is a great addition to the Canon M200. I really liked the photos i can get with 1.4F aperture, and also it has great build quality. This is my first time buying a Meike product and would recommend it to everyone!

I almost returned this 35mm because it was not connecting to my canon m50. After a bit of research I found that you must go to settings and under CUSTOM FUNCTIONS (C.Fn), enable release shutter w/o lens. 4/5 starts because of the price and some quick test photos I’ve taken.

Super sharp. Great in low light.

I got the 35mm 1.4 lens and was super excited about it but unfortunately it didn’t work for my camera. I have a canon m50 and when I put the lens on I got an error “F00” meaning the lens was not communicating to my camera. I will be returning.
