Better for the money
Love Rosle products and the metal this is made from is excellent. Construction solid. It'll last forever. I like that the sieve bit is easy to clean and the handle crushing action is effortless. However the intriguing sounding "scraper" at the front is a complete waste of time. The scraper isn't close enough to scrape much at all. Plus it acts like a gaurd which means you cant use a knife to scrape off instead. So there's a staggering amout of wasteMy second gripe is that you cant get much garlic in there at one time relative to others I've used.I have kuhn rikon one for the same price which is a much less finnicky design. And I notice a WMF one that looks much the same design. Even the Rosle one without the scraper (which is half the price of this one) would be much more practical. For over £40 notes you expect to never need another garlic press in your life. Sorry to say I was disappointed.

Well engineered, incredibly solid but doesn't work
Lovely piece of engineering but the section that presses down on the garlic is polished and semi circular so it doesn't grip the clove. It won't crush when still in the skin (unlike similar cheaper products). When you do crush it, the crushed garlic squeezes out everywhere, not just through the holes so very messy and inefficient. Worth keeping to have on show and buy cheaper one for actually crushing garlic.

MASTER GARLIC PRESS
Why waste time looking at the other ones! Spend the extra money and get this masterpiece of German engineering. The one it replaces from another manufacturer has given us good service, but the plastic inserts have finally failed. In any case you know it makes sense as you get what you pay for, don't you?We use ours a minimum of three to four times a week as we enjoy a lot of home cooking. You don't even need to strip the skin of the garlic and it works well with ginger as well. We are expecting many years service from this.

Rosle garlic press all stainless steel?
Have not used thus yet.Rosle advertised its product as stainless steel. The high price paid for this item should have reflected that.Clearly from the first and second pictures it looks like certain parts have been painted or sprayed on. Does this mean future rusting problems? Have other users seen this after using for a while? The last picture shows the ends of the handle are quite sharp edged and also has space for water to be stuck in.

This really works.
I’ve used this product and found it to be the best for extracting the flavour from garlic. Now I have my own.

Mmmm garlic.
Industrial feeling garlic press. Easily crushes large and small cloves. The wee bar helps scrape the garlic off the press into the pan. Although no all of it so there is still a bit of scraping with a knife. Solid, well built, would buy again but I probably won’t have to.

A very poor garlic crusher
Garlic gets stuck everywhere. Difficult to clean. Too much style over substance.
