E-collar technology is one of the best e-collar brands out there, and it shows.*The Micro Educator is one of the smallest and lightest e-collars on the market, which is why it is often a great choice for small dogs or dogs with thin and/or sensitive necks.- The Mini Educator is the larger version of this collar; it has a stronger stim and a receiver that is both heavier and larger in size, which makes it not the best fit for small dogs.*I got the Micro Educator e-collar (purple) for my 10-pound, 11-year-old terrier mix, and it works great. The size of the receiver is an okay size in comparison to her body/neck (although I would like it a tad bit smaller, it hasn't been an issue), and for what I need, the strength of the stim is perfect. We are currently using a stim level of 5 and the tone feature for recall (general and off prey) and corrections.If you are in the market for an ecollar, the Educator collars are a good place to start. They allow for wiggle room to find the perfect stim level for your dog, while providing you with a good quality tool that doubles as a handy safety net.

Micro educator ME-30 seems to be the best for small dogs, but really any size. Recommended by our dog trainer because so many pulse levels are available to avoid any harm. Very helpful device.

I seldom write reviews.I had to write this one because I have never experienced the wealth of customer service from this American company. I own two e collars. You can see how well I have trained my dogs using these. I mostly keep it on vibrate mode in and out of the house. The product works well and results have been remarkable.That said, I had some issues with one of the collars. It was likely water damage from my not closing the rubber charge cover. I contacted customer service and they immediately sent me a new e collar, and when it wouldn’t connect they responded same day with reprogramming instructions.

Works great, super flexible, seems well built and water resistant. My only suggestion would be to make the vibration a bit stronger.

I bought this collar as it is the one my trainer preferred. I have a Frenchie. He is pretty stubborn and has no recall if distracted and not wearing the collar.After a little over a year, the remote needed to be replaced. Customer service was responsive, and thankfully, the remote was still under warranty and received the replacement quickly. We had an instance about a year later where I needed to use the collar for recall, and when he didn't respond, I checked the collar and found it was not working.When I called, I was told that the unit was no longer under warranty and that I would need to replace it.With no discount offered for a potential returning customer, I went in search of a comparable collar.Thankfully I found another brand for a quarter of the price, it has a lifetime warranty, and does not need to be charged daily like this product did.

Well as much as I hate this type of training, it has been a life safer. I have trained a lot of dogs and never had one that just refused to ‘come’ after a year of training! If I didn’t have this, I doubt 1/2 of the time I’d get him back in the house. Now let me say, I RARELY have to do anything other than the ‘buzz’ button. In over 2 years, I’ve only had to ‘shock’ him 2 times. I don’t recommend that if you can get them to respond to the buzz button.
