Sharp and smooth
Surprisingly sharp and very smooth. Very affordable though it takes a long time to get these blades from India

Worth a try
Not a bad razor, but I prefer the Gillette Blue Steel better. The price is right and it will give you a good shave so give it a whirl to see if you like them. Each persons face and stubble is different and you may give it a 5 star on the shave. As for me, I'm buying more of the Blue Steel. The 3 stars is for the shave only. The quality of the razor and delivery are 5 star.

FYI - Made in India (Not St. Petersburg)
I have been using the Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinums for a very long time. For my face (used to be handsome), water (city water no water softener), and razor (Merkur HD) they do a far better job shaving a full beard than any of the other 20+ brands I have tried.More forgiving blades like Derbys are great for shaving my back, or face if I shave 2x daily and use a new blade every 3rd shave - but they tug at a beard.Sharper Blades like Feathers are also superb daily razors, but can cause irritation when shaving my skalp - and last 5 days. The Gillette Super Platinums (from St. Petersburg) are the perfect balance, they are sharp enough not to tug and forgiving enough to not cause irritation no matter where I am shaving (head, face, back). And, they last 7-10 days.I received the black/grey package (made in India) instead of the dark-blue package (made in St. Petersburg) shown in the sales photo on the amazon website. Hopefully this won't make a difference (I was not impressed by the 7 O'Clock Super Sharps made in India)--otherwise I might have to switch to the Astra Super Platinums.

Very good quality blades
Very good quality blades! I have a slightly heavier than average beard, and I am actually getting 4-5 weeks out of each blade! The shave these give me are about 'one day closer' than I was getting with Gillette's Sensor3 disposable razors! Each blade is lasting as long as one disposable Sensor3 lasted me, so the cost is a lot lower, too! I also find that after I got used to them, I am not getting cut or 'abraded' hardly ever compared to the Sensor3. BTW, I am using a 1967 vintage (50 years old!) Gillette safety razor with these blades! I am very happy with my purchase!

Caveat Emptor
The first three of the five five-packs that I bought contained blades that felt like they had been used to cut open boxes. Dull and painful to shave with. I'm on the fourth pack now and the blades are super sharp and comfortable, like the blades from the sampler that I tried. I have now idea what to expect from the last pack, and I will not be buying these blades again.

Company filling order sucks!
I am posting a one star review because of the company who filled the order. The standard box has 5 blades however the boxes this company has have 2 bonus blades for a total of 7 per box. Well when I received my blades I was given 3 boxes of 7 and 4 loose blades that we're not in original sealed packaging. There are two problems with that 1 the individual razor blade wrapping clearly says "not to be sold loose". 2 I have no idea about the condition of the loose blades, for all I know they could be used or tampered with. The company wraps them in sealed packages for a reason why weren't they shipped that way. Don't bother calling amazon to complain, all you get is someone in India-which ironically is where the blades are made-who has a relatively low grasp of the English language and is no help at all.

Love these
Was using the 7 o' clock yellows, which I liked quite a bit. I heard good things about the Russian made blues, and couldn't resist. I've tried a wide rage of DE blades and, at least for me, these have been the best ones I have ever used. Blade is sharp and smooth and works like a charm. Try them out.

Not as shown/described
These are not the Russian blades as shown, these are the blades from India. There are multiple complaints on here about this but Amazon doesn't correct it. Where they are made matters, they are not the same, not necessarily better or worse but not the same.
