Side by side fridge using EZFAUX stainless steel film
The EZFAUX stainless steel film is really good product. I would give it a 2 out of 4 hammer difficulty rating for anyone who has not worked with large pieces of contact paper. If you have then you know to peel off the paper backing a little at a time as you progress through the project. In my case I did a large side by side refrigerator which required 2 rolls, one for each door. I also allowed for extra film so I could overlap the top, bottom and sides of the doors for a very finished look. The top, sides, drink area, handles and toe kick grill were painted by brush using stainless steel paint. The first coat was up and down strokes. The second coat was sideways one direction only to avoid brush marks. The $120 for the EZFAUX stainless steel film and the $30 for the paint saved me from spending $1400 for a replacement fridge. The fridge looks spectacular.Marilyn

Yes
Go slow to avoid bubbles. I am certain I could do a better job the second time around but no doubt there would be some tiny bubbles somewhere. It is nearly impossible to get them all out and if you are a perfectionist like me, it will make you crazy. Don't try popping them with a tiny pin prick either because the material is so thick, it is impossible to puncture without noticing. I don't believe anyone else would notice these imperfections because no one would be looking so closely. Overall, this is a pretty amazing product. Also, lightly spray the surface with a water and dish liquid solution (very small amount of dish liquid) before starting to apply the product so that you can reposition. It sticks extremely well so you want to get it into proper position before lightly roll it into place working small sections at a time. This is where a partner is needed to hold the roll as the other applies the product and to help keep it position. The corners were very challenging and took me a long time. I cut and folded like wrapping a present but they were rounded corners so not easy to blend. Yes, I would buy it again. DO NOT forget to spray the surface. That was my first mistake in this process.

Pretty good
I had a hard time installing this. I took off the door to the compactor and laid it flat on a table as I saw they did on the Rachel Ray Video but that was not a good idea. It took me forever to figure out how to disassemble it and then when I started to apply the film it was obvious that it would be much better to apply from an upright position rather than a flat position. I put the door back on and applied a new piece and remembered to spritz it first with water and that helped immensely when I needed to lift it to reposition. It hasn't been sticking well to the sides where I curved it around and I'm worried it will start to lift after a while but so far it isn't all that noticeable, fingers crossed that it stays. I applied it so that the grain runs side to side instead of vertical so as to match my refrigerator's stainless grain. It looks pretty good and the compactor now looks just like the brand new ones they sell today. My compactor is 21 years old. Once you do this, there is no going back IMO as it was incredibly hard to remove when I had to do the first try over again. My only regret is that I wish I had gotten the lighter color of the stainless film. I used the darker version and it looks pretty dark in my kitchen. My Kitchen Aid stainless refrigerator was darker than the light and lighter than the dark film so I just went with the dark thinking it would hide my mistakes better. All in all, I think it looks pretty nice. I have the dishwasher to do next but after the wrestling match with the compactor, I'm putting it off for a while longer.

Air bubbles galore - looks bad
I can't understand the high reviews for this product. We followed the instructions perfectly but ended up with air bubbles all over the deep freezer we wrapped. It was such a simple/straightforward piece and should not have been that difficult. And it took 2 rolls, so very expensive.

Fairly easy installation, looks like real stainless.
I updated my 20 year old appliances (dishwasher, stove, microwave) with new stainless steel appliances. My refrigerator is much newer and works well so I’m ready to replace it. Use of the contact paper was an affordable & fairly easy method to have matching appliances.Hindsight is 20/20. I wish I had asked a friend to help me. I was able to do cover the refrigerator by myself but a second person would’ve made the job easier. On the side & large refrigerator panel, I followed the instructions of spraying the refrigerator with a mix of water & a few drops of dish detergent and it made removal & repositioning easier. I started with the smaller freezer section and tore the contact paper when I repositioned it. It’s a small tear so it isn’t very noticeable.

Fingers crossed
I just placed this faux overlay of brushed nickel paper, they say after 5-7 days the bubbles will dissipate. So keeping my fingers crossed. I applied it using the water method, I may have had better luck with the dry not sure so we’ll see. It’s supposed to be guaranteed so we’ll see. If the bubbles go away I’d give it 5 stars. I did struggle with the small edges getting them to stick so far no luck with that so I put something under opening in time it will stick.

Quality material
The material and adhesive backing is great, the problem I had was the item I was applying this to did not have a perfect finish/surface. If your base surface you are applying this to is not perfectly smooth, you'll see every defect. A spec of grit on the surface will show. A uneven sanded surface will show. Do not overlap, it will show. The product is great, the prep work has to be flawless.
