That siren is rated at something like 106db's I am adding a bull horn siren also ...
This is a top of the line product. The siren that comes with the kit is blaring and it hurts to stand next to it. That siren is rated at something like 106db's I am adding a bull horn siren also for the outside at 127db's. This makes the little table top cone shape alarms look like toys. These are more involved to install but there is plenty of videos online to get you through it. I am wishing now I would have purchased the RF model which is not that much more money. This would have given me access to all of the wireless products. My place is so small I did not think I would need it.

Incomplete Kit but Best on the Market for Home Security
While the system is the best and most complex there is out there for home security, it is incomplete. My card carrying certified installer told me that in order to trigger the delay for normal entry, you need to have a door entry sensor which this kit does not. The motion sensors are not delay sensors, but trigger the alarm immediately. Also, the keypad was a bit limited in configuring the system. There are a number of options for configuration and I now have to add wireless door sensors.

The wiring was easy as I only have a few doors to monitor
I bought this a few months ago and finally got to the stage of installing it in the house. The wiring was easy as I only have a few doors to monitor. However, I had issues with programming. Ended up calling a professional installer when I had to give up. He worked with it for two hours with Honeywell's support. The panel kept defaulting itself. The Vista-20P may be a good system, but I'll never know, unfortunately. Either I have a faulty unit, or the system is just that complex to program.

Fake picture to get more money.
**WARNING**This is a total ripoff. You don't even get what's shown in the picture. You would save more money buying the system and add on parts separately.

Not for the Non-Tech types
Good hardware. The Owners manual is hard to understand however once you get into their Engineers head it then makes since. Not for the everyday non-tech type person. Sort of old school interface technology.

Nice starter kit
When you open the box you will find: Vista 20P panel, lock and key, battery, transformer/power supply, motion detector, siren, RJ-31X jack and cable, keypad with alpha-numeric display (needed for system programming), and the manuals. What else you will need for your system: device wiring cable, door/window contacts, other sensors (motions, smoke detectors, etc.) that you want, and any modules that you want to add functionality to your system. This is a nice kit, from Honeywell (an industry leader, not some Chinese company you never heard of), and appears to be competitively priced.
